"the signature of MSN" means the text area under the name area of MSN
"MSN" means Microsoft Windows Live Messenger

Then your request should be, "How can I change the caption of the Microsoft Windows Live Messenger (MSN) window with some code?"

Yes, you can think so.
I have tried to use the spy++ to capture the signature window, but it seems that MSN draw the window itself, so I can't capture it.
I think I must use protocol like MSNP9 to communicate with MSN servers.
What do you think about?

Winexec does not open a text file, it can only open a .exe file.
Use like this:
Winexec("C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe abc.htm"...)
treat abc.htm as the parameter of program IE

Hi,
I think you are missing complete path of IE.
I tried this WinExec("\"C:\\Program Files\\Internet Explorer\\iexplore.exe\" \"C:\\testpage.htm\"", SW_SHOW); and it worked fine.

did you try ::system() with the html-file?
That should call the user-defined browser (not forcing the user in IExplore).

I think you can use of this code
::ShellExecute(NULL, "open", "iexplore.exe", "your_url.htm", NULL, NULL, SW_SHOWNORMAL);
but anyway you can use of CDHtmlDialog.

Are you wanting to open the HTM file via Internet Explorer, or are you wanting to open the file in an editor such as Notepad? Those are two different things.

Hi All,
I am using VS2005 and Active Directory Service (LDAP).
I am using "objectclass=Users" filter string. There are some conditions where i don't want to retrieve any object. How to do it?
Is "objectclass=0" or "objectclass=null" the correct way to do?
Thanks,

Try NSIS[^]. Its free and working fine here.

NSIS asks for some .nsi file for which it creates the installer....how do i use it for an MFC exe??
|
|
|
|
|
.nsi file is the source code to make installers.
You just write some script in the .nsi file in NSIS specific syntax, then compile and build the installer.

You add a project called "setup" to your solution. You have this depend on your main projects release build.
In the Post-build step of it you trigger the setup-generation by launching the .nsi script with nsis.
You would have to write that script, though.

well jhwurmbach
i am new to vc++ and i am sorry i didnt understand what you mean by your statements. Could you be kind enough to explain it to me??
|
|
|

In VC++6 (which you said you are using), you have a "solution", which is the set of "projects", which in turn are where your code-files are held.
Now you can add another "project" to your "solution", and use this to generate the setup, in the way the NSIS documentation tells you.
This involves writing a setup-script!
