Windows XP: If a top-level window stops responding to messages for more than several seconds, the system considers the window to be hung and replaces it with a ghost window that has the same Z order, location, size, and visual attributes. This allows the user to move it, resize it, or even close the application. However, these are the only actions available because the application is actually hung. When in the debugger mode, the system does not generate a ghost window.

How do I write a regular expression for ISO8601 date and time with timezone? More specifically, how do I detect the presence of the timezone bit using regular expressions.

I'm allowing a very limited set of the possible formats for ISO8601 to make it easier.
eg.s "2002-03-22T14:26:39Z", "2002-03-22T14:26:39+01:00", "2002-03-22T14:26:39-01:00"

I get stuck when looking for the '-' sign and I don't seem to be using the escape sequence properly. I'm working from our own http://www.codeproject.com/cpp/rexsearch.asp, but clearly don't understand them properly.

Problems with the length of the text of a CListCtrl item

Hi

I discovered that when I add a very long CString (>260 characters) as the text of a CListCtrl item, it won't get displayed completely even though I set the column width to the maximum. Can someone please help me to fix that problem, it's really urgend!!

Copying data from one database to another

I'm using CHtmlView - derived class CHtmlCtrl (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnmsj00/html/cpp0100.asp) for use in dialog boxes. I need to navigate that control to some page (for example about:blank) in dialog's OnInitDialog(). But Navigate() is not blocking function, how to block until CHtmlView::OnDocumentComplete() is signaled ?

Read-only CRichEditView

I have set the rich-edit control of a CRichEditView to read only
(GetRichEditCtrl().SetOptions(ECOOP_SET, ECO_READONLY); )
which works fine, except that the scrollbar is then also "readonly" - the user is unable to scroll the text in the window! Is there a solution? (Yes, I've tried EnableScrollBar.) TIA.

Hello!
Tell me,please,how can i copy any data from table of one access database to table of another access database,for example i have two datasources: m1.mdb and arch.mdb and i must copy any data from table1 of m1.mdb to table2 of arch.mdb My project is writen on MFC and i use Access databes.

Here is my solution :

1. open both databases, select * into source recordset, create recoprdset in destination database
2. select all rows from source database into source recordset
3. destination recordset.AddNew()
4. copy all field values from source recordset to destination recordset
5. update destination recordset
6. go to 2 Smile | :)

It depends what database acces are you using.
CDaoRecordset is dor DAO, CRecordset is for ODBC.
It is recommended to use ADO or ODBC, i'm using this wrapper class for ADO : http://www.codeproject.com/database/caaadoclass1.asp
