Hi. I have an issue that I can't seem to solve. I have a gridview defined in my HTML like this:

As you can see I have a BoundField and a Template field. The bound field I bind to a datatable in the pageload event of the VB.NET code behind. And the dropdownlist I populate from a function. Now, since I have the autogeneratedeletebutton set to true I see delete buttons in the gridview. In the rowdeleting event of the gridview I try and print out some values for debugging like this:
Trace.Write("Object type is " & sender.ToString())
Trace.Write("Row index of row being deleted is " & e.RowIndex().ToString())
Trace.Write("The number of values is " & e.Values().Count().ToString())
Trace.Write("The number of keys is " & e.Keys().Count().ToString())
The correct row displays in the 2nd debug line above but the last 2 say zero. It says the number of values is 0 and the number of keys is 0. For some reason I can get the index to the row being deleted but I can't seem to "see" the data from the row being deleted. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I figured out the problem. I was storing the data that was bound to the gridview in a global datatable. For some reason on postback there is no data left in the global data table (I don't know why or how this happens). So I tried storing the datatable in the session and now it works great.

hi all,
can anyone tell me the possible contraints to redirect pages in iframe.i am not able to redirect pages in IE and it gives a lot of problems like loss of session data etc...
or
can anyone suggest me how i can hide the url of the website using asp.net1.1
and do my application navigation without using an iframe
any help or suggestions are welcome

thanks for trying... the issue here is when i try redirecting page within iframe using response.redirect or server.transfer it does not work in IE.
Of course may be i appear unclear with such a weird question but
what i want to know if anyone can let me know what issues to address when redirecting aspx page within a iframe
Question1:i lose session data and exception occurs that thread has been aborted.
so my question is how can i redirect page in a iframe while loading session variables just before the redirect.
Question 2: is there any way to change the url of application from display from user and use our own website url?
i hope i am clearer now...

Not question 2 
As for #1, how are you doing the redirect? If you are using Response.Redirect, look at the secnd parameter for that method.

1)yes i have already tried using response.redirect ("mypage.aspx",false) but still it does not work when i tried like response.redirect("~/mypage.aspx",false) it works. but then the issue occurs when i press any link on menu like "link1.aspx" then i am redirected to login page as the pages are accessible only to authenticated users. hope i am clear about my first question
2)then second question is all these issues to redirect occur only when my application runs in iframe completely but when it is running outside its fine.
so i use iframe to use website address for my application.So i wanted to know if there any way to hide my appplication page addresses like 34.23.23.12:6780\login.aspx
but instead show like
mywebsite.com

Exactly what session data are you losing?

That is normal. That is how the Response.Redirect command exits from the current page. You are not supposed to catch that exception. When you catch exceptions, you should only catch the ones that you know how to handle.

The url shown in the browser is always the url of the page displayed. You can never change that.

hi,
I am using dundas charts in an application. my data for x axis is coming in the form of weeks from database.
as like 13/07/2007,20/07/2007...
The problem is that x axis labels are displaying by default but I want to fix the interval of four weeks on x-axis.
How can I do that.

Hi,
I have an issue with creating dynamic controls and retaining them when the page refreshes.
The situation is like this.On the Page_load i creating few sets of questions along with choices(Using radio buttons "Yes" and "No").All the radio buttons are dynamically created.For the first question, if the user clicks the "No" radiobutton, i shud show one more question with a "Checkbox", which should be dynamically created on the selection of "No" radiobutton.The same question pattern repeats for 3 times.So for the first question of each set the above condition should apply.What i did was when i created the "No" radiobutton of first question of each set, i made the "Autopostback" to true and attached one event handler with that, which will create the checkbox dynamically.But what happens is that, when i click the "No" radiobutton of the first question of the second set of questions, the checkbox created when we clicked the first set "No" radiobutton will vanish and a new checkbox will come near to the second set.What i need is to retain the first checkbox also.I found that when i'm clciking the Second "no" button the page reloads and the first checkbox is not retained.(Remember the checkbox creation is attached with the corresponding "no" button click).
Also i can't use "Session" to retain the controls that i created, since my application wont support Session variables.
Please help me in finding an optimal solution.
