It is better if you should Ajax/Javascript Grid in your page. There is one extension code for Yahoo Grid. You may google about it..
Let me know if you are not able to find the link or any Ajax/Js grid...

Dear All,
I am using the following code to open a new javascript window:

My problem is that this is leaving a border on the top and left of the page. How can I remove this margin (empty space). I want a solution that is compatible with both IE and FF. I tried using css (limited knowledge in this) but did not work in FF

I think you need to modify your post - this time try ticking the little box that says : "Ignore HTML tags in this message (good for code snippets)". And try to avoid white text. And maybe try checking your post afterwards.
Who knows, you may even end up with something that makes sense.

There should be a submit method on the form itself.
And if i were you, i'd worry more about the sanity of your high-level design than the "professionalism" of the odd little steps that are used to implement it...

Yeah, in the C# - without the C# in the subject. I was reading the boards, looking to answer a few tonight, but the vast majority are "How do I...." and not "I've done this and that happened...". I don't know how you, CG and Luc (and a few others) keep trawling through and answering them without throwing huge amounts of sarcasm at them.

Do you want the submit event to fire, or do you want the form to be submitted? 'Cause, you seem to be trying to simulate the former.

Hi there
I would like to use a expanding panel on my page which looks just like the tabs at the top of mozilla or IE7, except that it runs down the page instead of across the top, and when a tab is selected it opens left to right, as if coming out of the left side of the screen. Preferably when it opens it should give a similar effect to the AJAX collapsable panel with a fade smooth fade in and out, or for those of you who have seen the XBOX360 interfaces tabbing system, then similar to that. The AJAX panel unfortunately only moves up and down. Does anyone have any code which they have used before to accomplish something similar or have a link to a tool which can provide this feature???
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am out of ideas of where to look, or what to search for.

Worth a shot - if you don't have the code for it, then obviously that won't work. But if you already have something that's almost what you want, modifying it should be a good deal easier than starting from scratch.
That said, what you want isn't terribly complex; I'd suggest using a table (yes, a table) to contain everything, with the first column as the tabs and the second as the page. Within the first column, use links, styled with CSS such that they become block elements (and look like whatever you want "tabs" to look like), and with a click event handler to load the appropriate content into the second column. As far as animation goes, you can just use setTimeout or setInterval to trigger updates at, say, 40ms intervals, at which time you can expand the width of a DIV containing the new content until it overlaps the existing content (then just remove the old content). Or, just use an existing animation library such as Script.aculo.us or even jQuery.

Hi,
I've installed IIS and published a few pages for use in a LAN.
When i'm viewing the pages from the machine where the IIS is instaled (e.g. http://localhost/mypage.htm or http://servername/mypage.htm) I'm able to view all of my pages.
Howeve, when I try to view the same pages from another machine on the LAN (using http://servername/mypage.htm) I'm unable to gain access and receive an "page cannot be viewed" error.
How do I configure the IIS to allow access from remote computers?

It's already configured for this by default.
Do you have windows firewall activated on the computer? Have you allowed http for the connection?

1) Yes I do have the windows firewall on. Do I have to turn it off completly or can i do it partially, for instance only to the virtual directory of my web site?
2) How do i anable http for the connection? i'm not sure i know what you mean.

No.
You could turn it off to quickly determine if that's the problem. Once you have done that, you turn it on again, and allow the specific traffic that you need.

No. The firewall blocks or allows certain types of traffic, like web requests. It doesn't care what url the web request contains.

Open the properties for the network connection, got to the Advanced tab, click on Settings..., go to the Advanced tab, select the network connection, click Settings..., enable the "Web Server (HTTP)" service. Click OK all the way out.

Hi all,
I am trying to create a datagrid to look like this pic below the data is stored in 2 tables the ScoutAssignment table and Match table, my initial plan is to use sql to all the scouts that have assignments for the selected week, build the table outline using this method, fill an in memory datatable with all the matches that have assignments during the week and loop through the original table (of scouts and dates) fillin the cells where the scout has an assignment……
but Im wondering if its possible to fill entire datagrid using sql or if anyone has any better suggestions or advice it would be appreciated

This sounds like a job for the GridView control. You can create a stored procedure that joins the two tables. Set the stored procedure as the selectCommand for a SQLDatasource and bind that SqlDatasource to the GridView control.
