If you're using Windows Forms, why are you asking in the ASP.NET forum ? Assuming you mean windows forms, you really need to buy a book and read it, this is a very straightforward question. You create a dialog class, create an instance, and call ShowDialog on it.

I am using ASP.NET with Infragistics for my application....

In the UltraWebGrid, when i click the values in the row should get populated into their appropriate textboxes there...

I am new to Infragistics and need help from someone here...

checkboxlist problem

Dear all,
I am using asp.net2.0,C# , SQl2000.

I am using checkboxlist(whose enableviewstate is true). I access its value(ie item selected) first button click it work fine but on second button click event . it does not hold selected item value.

Please guide me

Are you reseting it's data source on postback ? This will lose the selection. use IsPostback to only load it the first time

Hi,

I am clicking an image in the parent page and pop up window is displayed.
iam disabling the parent window by using

this is working fine in IE

but it is not worinkingw with Fire Fox

Any any body can give me the idea.

The self object is not defined in the standard. Use the window object instead.

There is no onblur event on the body element. Use the onblur event on the window object.

hi,

i have to realted queries

1> i have two websites, www.main.com and www.second.com in asp.net
i want that when anyone signs in www.main.com and clicks a link to www.second.com then user shud redirect to the requested page without showing the login page of www.second.com

2> how i can see/edit the content of the authentication cookie generated.

Yep, i implemented the things like that, but the problem is that, then i keep the same cookie name for the two sites , it works, but i need to have different names for the cookies for each sites.Then it do not works, any solution to this please

I am using MS.net 1.1

In my application,I am listing the list of employees with name and image in datagrid.I done it successfully.

Now i requiremnt is, when I mouse over that image i want to open a frame over to form(like a child window) and show his details in it.

how i open a frame when mouse over to an image???

Is there a MouseOver event that can get triggered? If so, have it invoke the frame. I am sure this can be done with some kind of dynamic HTML trick.

Hi i am using some links in one of my form...,
Those links i want in all my other forms too...,
I dont like to give each and every forms those links...,
So i like to give those links in some javascript....,
To call that javascript in all forms that links want to be come there...,

It's possible, but why would you want to use Javascript for that?

Just put the menu in a user control.

Hi all

In a data grid i have two such columns where it acts as a link to a different page. But problem is since i have two response.redirect statements its executing the first one only. My condition is after redirecting to different page i am populating that page with some details( example if i am clicking on cand id 1 then in the next page detail will of cand whose id is 1) so i am using session varible. The code what wrote is

If (......I want the condition.....) Then
lbCand_Id = e.Item.FindControl("Label5")
Session("CAND_ID") = lbCand_Id.Text
Response.Redirect("Update_Feedback.aspx")
Else
lbCand_Id1 = e.Item.FindControl("Label1")

Pl tel me in if condition what i have to write like datagrid1.item... something like that.so that i can execute both the conditions.

Hi in datagrid template column u have the hyper link or outside the grid u have?,

If inside the grid u have the hyperlink,then u can access the link using this code:

For Each MainGRD As DataGridItem In Me.dgrdmain.Items
dim Candid as HyperLink=ctype(maingrd.FindControl("Idofhyperlink"),HyperLink)
Next
Here candid is the hyperlink now...,
U can use ur if condition based on that candid...,

So just tell me the if condition. Like suppose i click on the 1 column of the grid some thing like this( datagrid1.item.....)

Hi i think this is ur probs...,
In datagrid ur displaying the candidate id and his photo...,
Based on the candi id selection it want to open another child window and show his details ?,
If its yes...,
Use this way,.
In ur datagrid property bulder select the hyperlink column and there u can see "Url format string", There give some other aspx page form and ur passing parameter...,
Means it should eb like this:
frmCashflowStatementLink.aspx?candid={0}
Then there itself see the "target" dropdown box there u select "-new"

Then Go to that child page(for me i have taken this one frmCashflowStatementLink.aspx)
In ur pageload not postback method give this code:
txtLinkID.Text = Request.QueryString("candid")
Then in ur sqladapater query u check with that txtlinkid value...,
If its correct display those values like...,
This only u asked na?,

Give command name property to both link.
Like as for link1 CommandName="Link1"
and link2 CommandnName="Link2"

Now U can use If condition on GridView rowcommand event
