Hi Guys,
I have a database that stores time for example an attendance record.
The problem is when I displayed it to the datagrid those columns containing
time, show as dates on the datagrid. Why is that?
Hope you can help me with this. Thanks a lot.

Because a time cannot exist in the database without a date. Really, all you have to do is format the column to show only the time value. The date part, usually Jan 1 of some year, can be ignored.

What you mean is format the column to show only time on the database? right?

You don't format the date/time in the database. Formatting is done in the user interface for your application.

When you create your columns for the DataGridView, you simply specify the format string for the DefaultCellStyle:
DataGridView1.Columns("MyColumnName").DefaultCellStyle.Format = "M/d/yyyy"
or, using the culture-specific short date format for the current thread:
DataGridView1.Columns("MyColumnName").DefaultCellStyle.Format = "d"
All you have to do is Google for "datagridview format date[^]". There's lots of examples out there.

You should use a virtual or relative path to the css file, not a physical path.
If the css file is in the same folder as the page, just use href="real-estate.css" .

This question belongs in the ASP.NET forum. It has nothing to do with VB.NET, regardless of the language you used to write the code-behind.
You're using fully qualified paths to the style sheet. They will NOT work. You must use a path relative to the root of the website so you're able to deploy the ASP.NET app without worrying about directory names.
The format for a style sheet link tag is:
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/folder/filename.css" />

Thanx mate.I will redirect it to another forum.

There an error, in the build error task shown:
Could not copy temporary files to the output directory.
The file 'computerized grading system.exe' cannot be copied to the run directory. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
The file 'computerized grading system.pdb' cannot be copied to the run directory. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
What is the meaning of that???
I accidentally select the start without debugging in the debug menu. I dont know if it is related in the error.
What should i do????

You still have a copy of your .exe still running. You cannot rebuild while it is still running. You have to end the process.

and maybe it is still running because you started a couple of threads without setting
their IsBackGround property false (so now they all must terminate before your process
will exit).

There is always that possibility, too.

Can you help me? I use Vb.Net

Why don't you just add a picturebox to your form, insert the image using the Image property, and place the image in top of your listview header?

Please i need your help. My father has stroke and is bedridden, he can only move his finger so inorder to communicate with him i need a program that can sense his finger movement. The output of the value is to move the cursor or even a mouse cursor up and down. If possible there will be alphabet display in mircosoft excel for him to choice. Prefer to be in excel but i don't mind using any other method. Cause what's more important is to communicate with him. I know i may asked to much but please i need the program urgently and as soon as possible. Thank you very much if anyone can help me in it.

Do you want the program to be in excell or can you write it in vb.net??
I don't know about excell but in vb.net you could use a timer wich checks every second (or milisecond depending on how fast you want you're program to react) where the mousecursor is locatated and then take apropriated action. (you can do this with the mouseposition method)

I think if you want a program that will make it easy for you to communictate with you're father it will be best to write it in vb.net (or c# or any other language but not in excell) beceause you can control everything that happens. (It might be more work dough)
If he kan only move his finger I would suggest making a program with at the bottom 26 buttons (large ones) with the alphabet on it (and additional ones for: enter, backspace ... . above it a rich textbox witch dispaly's the chars.
then run the programe on a laptop and you're father can use the mouspad to control the program. that way he can move the cursor and click a button with the use of 1 finger.
(you can even attach a second screen so you can easily read what he is typing)
ofcourse if you don't want to program it windows has a on-screen keyboard with will do the same in any active window downside is the buttons are pretty small.
If you do decide to write a programe you can add several functions on you're own.
from the top of my had:
1) one-button printing
2) db with common used words (could be displayed in a listview or something)
3) one-button font adjustments
4) one-button delete all text
5) ...
hope this helps
