thats little typical task. you required knowledge of COM to achieve same. i.e. ASP page calling your COM server exe or Dll to reterieve data and showing on the page!

You can use of InsertString(1,"String") or AddString("String") .

Why in the world would you think that TRACE() would be used for updating a combobox?
Since you are using MFC, use ClassWizard (Ctrl+W) to assign a CComboBox member variable to the control. When you are ready to update the control, use CComboBox::AddString() or CComboBox::InsertString() .

Does WM_KILLFOCUS any help?

Thanks a lot for your reply.
Actually, i have tried to handle the message "WM_KILLFOCUS" in the dialog, but it is nor working.
Can that message be handled in a dialog?

As long as the dialog is displayed, one of the child controls will always have the focus.

Assuming you want to be notified when your dialog, not just a particular control, loses focus, the message you want to handle is either WM_ACTIVATEAPP or WM_ACTIVATE .

Just now I receive a project about changing a software to support internationalization, but I have no experience in multilanguage programing.
After searching in Google, I get the following scheme:
1. Resource scheme. Every language has a RC, which will be compiled to dll (pure resource dll).
2. Dictionary file (plug) scheme. The dictionary file stores "Lable-Message" pair. Programme reads the message-string once starts up, and then, GetDlgItem(ResourceID)->SetWindowText(MessageString).
3. Any others???
Resource scheme is really troublesome because you should maintain multiple resources, and the data-coherence is difficult to solve. So in my idea the dictionary scheme is better. But it still has lot of problems, just like the width of the Static Lable (CStatic), and the popup menu item has no ID.
In one word, I've no experience. What and how should I do, and what I must pay attention to...
Thanks a lot!

I want my application support Arabic which is unicode encoded. But I can't write arabic directly in vc6.0. Maybe I can use its unicode, but it's very inconvenient. Is there any good suggestions?

VC6 is not a Unicode app, so you can only enter characters that are in your current ANSI code page.

Here is my scenario:
My friend Tom has made a program in Microsoft Visual C++, He compiled his program into Program.exe and sent me program.exe with all the necessary .dlls etc to run. My problem is his program has several errors and I want to edit his C++ source and recompiled it. The issue is Tom lost the Visual C++ Source files for his program.
My Question is, can anyone give me an outline of what is needed to convert his program back to C++ source files, and what are the Best programs for the task ( I dont mind paying) to do this. What I have attempted so far, is I have decompiled the program using IDA Pro and saved my decompiled project as Program.ASM (low lvl language) im stuck on getting this low level language Program.ASM converted somehow into C++ source. I may have decompiled it incorrectly, (or stared off completely wrong)in addition, if anyone has a good guide on how to ensure you have Correctly decompiled a program with little or no errors that would also be appreciated.
Thank you for your time, Any Help would be appreciated.
