I couldn't get what you are saying. This is my first Crystal report. I am working in VS2005, using ASP.NET & C# for this Crystal Reports.
When i binded a simple report using CrystalReportViewer control (with out using any dataset), It worked fine. (There is no code in the codebehind except the CrystalReportViewer bind property) It showed the values correctly.
When I tryed the same with the dataset in the code behind i am unable to get the reportname in the snippet.
CrystalReport1 crReportDocument = new CrystalReport1(); --> i'm not getting this report name here.
I am following the following steps to generate Crystal Reports using the
Datasets.
1) Right clicked on my solution and selected add, New Item.
2) Added a dataset and created a query in the dataset. and saved this
dataset.
3) Added a Crystal Report Viewer to my webform.
4) Right clicked on my solution and selected add new Item Again and then
added a crystal report
5) In the crystal report wizard Selected crystal reports wizard and then
selected my report format...
6) Under the data menu I selected project data, then ADO.NET datasets. My
dataset showed up with its fields and you can make your selection as well
as created my crystal report.
7) The code behind ******(in the webform where I added Crystal Report
Viewer)*****
I tryed to write code but unable to get my report name (automatically in
the dropdown).
Is my step 3 correct? I am unable to understand why my crystal report name
is not showing up in my code behind. Please let know your thoughts.

there no property name HeaderText :P
and about columns widht n height use cellspacind and cellpadding

I think u want to set the header text of column. any ways here is the solution.
DataGrid.Column[Column Index].HeaderText = "ColumnName";
gv.Columns[1].HeaderStyle.Width=300; //this is in pixels.
and let me know what kind of formating do u want and the last one i can't understand u want to ask.

Because ASP.NET 2.0 is not a language. It's a framework for creating web pages.

As Dave said it is not a Language, it is a Framework for creating the Applications.
So we cannot create dll in asp.net.

If it isn't already migrate your asp.net site to a web application (at least that is where I have done it). Then File -> add -> new Project. Chose C# class library. Once that is added you can add it as a reference. This way you can put a bunch of your logic into a DLL and take advantage of its reuse.

Depends on what you want to do:
- build a ddl for your web application --> use web application instead of web site (the dll will be built into /bin folder)
- add a ddl to your web application --> use web application and add class library

I use vb.net and I have to show them a message box if the date is of different format.
I have used Instr function and getting the result locally using msgbox("errormessage"),how do I pop out a messaged box from Live server??

Hi guys act. i m uploading a file. only 5MB file is allowed for uploading. now when i check the size it take too much time to display the message. here is the code.Does it take time to get the size of contentLength? if yes then is there any solution. plz let me know abt that.

With the limited knowledge I have...By default file upload control allows only few MB.

your code seems to be fine.
actually whats happening is that when user uploads a file, first it goes to server n then the server checks whether is it lesser than the allowed file size (in your case, your code
if (videoUpload.PostedFile.ContentLength <= ideoSize) is executed when the file is fully uploaded to the server ) , if yes then its ok otherwise show message.
Im not sure but u can search on net and try to do it with javascript.

Hi.am doing project in C# [ ASP.Net ].i done 3 pages,so i want to test these pages in the website.i upload one page the name of the page is Photos.aspx and Photos.aspx.cs also.then i open the website www.somename.com/Photos.aspx getting page not found.i upload web.config,APP_Code and APP_Data also eventhough same error is coming.should i upload anything.but i am trying www.somename.com/index.html will get the page.what is the problem with .Net pages.

Now i publish the website,and i upload Photos.aspx,PrecompiledApp.config,Web.Config and bin folder eventhough while selecting www.somename.com/Photos.aspx the page is not getting,showing page not found.
