The problem is that I'm using SQL Server 2000 so the size of the software will be much larger than the size of a binary column in the database..
Any Clue??
Thanks a lot

You can store the files locally and store paths in your SQL Server database.

- Type aspnet_regiis -i in 2003 Command.
- Type "iisreset" in Command.

re-register the ASPNET user account by running the following at a command prompt:
%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_regiis.exe -i

I have a number of elements on a web page, each assigned their own unique IDs.
If I try to retrieve the element's width by calling document.getElementById('myElement').style.width , I get a null return value. The only way I get a non-null value back is if I manually set the element's width using javascript.
Why?
How do I retrieve the width of an element using javascript without first having to specifically set the value?

You should never do this in one step, you should call getElementById and make sure it found something.
I believe the width property will only contain a value, if a specific value was set. If there is no width value in the style for the control, the control still has a width, but it's set by the browser, not by styles, and so the style is empty.

The width property is most definitely set in a style sheet.

You are reading the value from the style setting of the element. That's what you set using the style property:
<div style="width:200px">
If you read the style.width from that element, you will get the string "200px".
The style property might affect the size of the element, but the size of the element never affects the style property.

I have a gridview in my application. The header of the gridview has the label for the header and also an imagebutton (a downward triable) beside the label so that when one clicks on the header the imagebutton, the imagebutton will load another picture(a colored downward triangle). The gridview has allowsort="true" set.
In the code, I have made the header so that clicking the header will trigger Commandname="Sort" and commandarugment = <some constant="" associated="" to="" the="" header=""> so that in the codebehind I can track which header is clicked and then change the triangle picture. However i realize that having Allowsort="true" is overriding that. The markup code will change the arrow back to the path written in the makrup.
How do i override the Sort function of gridview? is there anyway to tell it not to reset my headers?
thxthx

Is there any software to generate web forms? I like SQL reporting service but it doesn't let you edit or delete records.
Thanks

If I developed website using ASP.net does visitors to my website, or those who are
filling up forms and ordering from website ,does they also require to download .net platform.
I know little about ASP and ASP.net, But one thing is sure I cannot tell all my clients to download .net platform. Basically I am VC++ programmer so I cannot go to Java world.
and basically dont want to go away from microsoft. So please give me some guidance
where should I go ASP or ASP.net.

You only need the framework on the server, as this is where all your .net code will be executed. You might want to do a little bit of reading about how server side technologies work.

Your question shows that you do not know enough about web development to even attempt this project. ASP.NET is always the only choice, buy a book and work through it before you begin.

I always choose .NET but I'm not sure it's always the only choice. CP is still running ASP, no?

If you dissolve a computer in acid, that would be an IT solution. I'm not sure how it works in your life, but be certain not to drink it.
In other words, what on earth are you trying to ask ?
