getting sub CString from a bigger CString

ok i got a big CString and i want to get a certain word in this big CString without deleting or trimming

i have obtained the start and end zero based index of the text that i want. how do i proceed from here?

Tree Control problem

Hi,

I have a tree control in document/view architecture.

When an item is collapsed and expanded by clicking + sign,
all children nodes are re-enumerated and added.
This works fine when I collapse and expand any item by hand (manually).

But if i do it programatically, i.e. by sending TVE_EXPAND, and TVE_COLLAPSE
messages the child nodes are just made invisible and visible again.

How do i simulate a real collapse and expand to a node?

Huh ??? me not understand what you are writing; what do you mean by re-enumerated ? Are you filling the children as soon as you expand the parent or is the tree completely filled at some point ?

When the + is clicked, the sub-tree will either collapse and will hide the items (children) under that parent ITEM or will expand and show all items (children) under that parent ITEM.

If the children are already inserted they will only be shown/hide depending on the collapse state of the parent.

Oh,

i'm actually showing contents of file system in treeview.
So, every time a node is collapsed and expanded, the subfolders
are re-enumerated and added.

This will let user see if new folders have been created.

Hi everyone,

For the purpose of debugging, I want to output some temporary information to the "Debug" of the output window. Just like the VS's message
"

Loaded 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\ws2_32.dll', no matching symbolic information found.

Stripping <items in="" here=""> from a text file

what i wan to do is get rid of items in <items in="" here="">
for example, for the string "dsafgsgwrgh<itema>grsgwrhhwr<itemb>fsdf"

i want to get rid of "itema" and "itemb"
here is my code
- open file
- copy file to a CString
- look for <
- look for >

but unfortunately it doesnt work
is the file too big? the file is about 2,000,000,000 in f.GetLength
[B]file_string.Left(start_index);[/B] copies the entire file_string instead of only copying left strings

can somebody tell me what's wrong?

Hi,
I am working on localization and I have to change the texts of "Next","Back" and "Finish" buttons which are displayed on the property pages.I need to change those texts to make them meaningfull in other language.

So,Can you please suggest me how can change those button texts?

You shouldn't be changing those buttons. They are part of the wizard control, and messing with them is likely to break in future OSes (for example, the Back button in Vista has no text and the wizards have other design changes).

Place the text in string table.
Load the string from string table.
Set the text of the button using this text.

Afterwards you can change the strings in string table and again build the project and therefore the changed text will be reflected on the buttons.

Satellite DLLs can help in Localization.

Is there a way to easily change the name of a workspace/project (VC6) or does it have to be a copy done in some way? If the latter, how can I make sure all my settings etc are the same for a clean compile.

I'd rather just rename it to be honest, and get the final executable to follow that name change

Hi,

I am developing video player in C++ using SDL and FFMpeg , i tried to run the sample code which comes with the ffmpeg.

I downloaded all the source file from

svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/ffmpeg/trunk

when i compiled using msys and mgwin its not working

$ lib

when i entered lib command it said no command found

i want compiled ffmpeg libraries and dll anybody tell me where i can download

please help me thanks in advance
