Hi there,
I have a doubt reg the Datagrid which uses a CheckBox Column.
I have a Webform.In that I have 2 option buttons,1 Datagrid,1 Button.
The 2 option buttons are :
1)Employee_btn(When i select this,Datagrid will be filled with the Employee ID,Employee name along with the CheckBox Column).
2)Department_btn(When i select this,Datagrid will be filled with the Department_name)
1 Button is Submit_Btn
Now my requirement is I need to take the checked Items from the datagrid and store it in a char Array(For example,when I select 2 out of 3 department names I need to store the two department names in a string array.
How to do that??
Kindly help me as soon as possible.I need to finish this with in 3 days.

Hi,
Im my application i am uploading excel file, the data in the excel file i am displaying in UI part during this after displaying i want to delete excel instance which was created in task Manager in Process tab,but here i facing one big problem "suppose too many users uploading the excel file i want to delete only that user who finished his uploaded file and display the data in UI not all user excel instances.
can any body help from this situation,

Hi i have table in that some of the fields values are 0...,
And in my aspx form i have allocated place for the values...,
In that case i dont want to show those fields in my aspx form...,
And where the values is not there that place which field have values that field want to display...,
Example:
id m1 m2 m3 m4
1 100 0 70 38
2 50 20 0 12
3 20 20 20 0
Like this i have table...,
And in my aspx form i have allocated place for the each field...,
Like...,
Id: id
m1: m1
m2: m2
m3: m3
m4: m4 like...,
Now if i select id =1
It want to display
Id: 1
m1: 100
m3: 70
m4: 38
See in this m2 is not display and in that place m3 filed occured...,
Like that i need...,
Any possible way is there to do like that...,

Are you displaying value on a DataGrid ? If yes on ItemDataBound event check the value. If it is 0 , replace with blank value.

If your binding this datatable to a datagrid i guess there is way avoiding zeroes by writing the code in ItemDataBound event

Are creating controls dynamically? in what controls you want to display your data?

So how dwould you know there are only three non-zero values. I mean how would you now how many lables should be there at design time itself.
as per ur question there would no m2 if it is zero right?

Hi i said already in design time itself, i will give what are the fields i have in my table that much labels i will give...,
Now when the field value is 0, i can able to make visible =false for that particular label...,
But suppose 4 fields dont have values after that 5th field have value means its showing the first 4 fields empty space after that showing 5th field value...,
I like to removee the space in my form ...,
and display the record continuosly
thats y i asked like that got it...,

If you have your controls placed at the design time itself and you are trying to make visible false, as you said you would face spacing problems!
The solution based on how many non-zero values you are getting you got to create your controls dynamically.

Hi all,
For a website to support MultiLanguages, I would like to know which of the following
approaches would be better.
1.Creating ResourceFiles specific to each culture(Language)[Having Separate Satellite Assembly].
2.Maintaining Separate XML File for each language.
My Questions:
1. Will the performance of the application be affected with resource file Implementation?
2.Will it be a problem for maintaining the XML Files if we have data specific websites?
Any valuable suggestions or links for reference appreciated.

Hello
It depends on the number of pages you have in the site. If you have very less number of pages,then you can open each pages and look for the search criteria. This method won't be helpful if you have many pages in the website. In this scenario you can maintain an index table which contains all your site contents. Create an ASP page that opens and stores all your site text in a table. Schedule this page to run in particular intervals. When searching , search in this index table. This method will be faster.

This is the code I use to create the session on MemberPage1:

This is the code I use on another page MemberPage2:

//I want to test it with displaying a welcome follow by username.
But the above code doesn't work.The Session remains null.I'm beginner in ASP.NET with VB backed code. Anyone can tell me the error or any other solution?

hi,
how i am using session in my application .. its in c#..
Session["sername"]=TextBox1.Text //its right
then on page 2
no need to define variable again
Label3.Text = "Welcome " + Session["Username"].ToString();
check ,if this giving u value or not.
