To be honest, I find the general catch more disturbing than the recursion.

Slightly less bad than having an empty catch, imo

One of my early coding activities was to customize the CFileDialog. One of the requirements was that the user should not be able to navigate to any other folder...so this is what I came up with:
<br />
if(pNmhdr->code == CDN_FOLDERCHANGE )<br />
{<br />
char szChFol[_MAX_PATH];<br />
CommDlg_OpenSave_GetFolderPath(GetParent(m_hDlg),szChFol,FILEPATH_LENGTH);<br />
<br />
CString theDir = lpstrInitialDir;<br />
<br />
if(StrCmpI(initDir, szChFol))<br />
{<br />
::SetFocus( GetDlgItem(GetParent(m_hDlg),0x47c));<br />
::SetWindowText( GetDlgItem(GetParent(m_hDlg),0x47C), theDir );<br />
::keybd_event( VK_RETURN, 0x45, KEYEVENTF_EXTENDEDKEY, 0 ); <br />
}<br />
}<br />
as if it wasn't a bad enough workaround already, I'm achieving it by setting text in the edit field and sending a keyboard event to it...;P

Beats me... we should call them both and ask.

Yes, but can you blame them for doing so if that's the only legal way they can hire programmers they want at the rate they can afford?-- Nish on sketchy hiring practices

Damn, I'm tempted to do it. I daresay they understand Hindi.

It's just the country next door. :->
Seriously, I'm not calling them though. The last thing I want to do right now is call up a bunch of weirdos.

Did you not detect the sarcasm in his post?? I can recommend several places that let you rent a SenseOfHumor.

I agree he misunderstood my post, but there wasn't any sarcasm in there.
In case you don't understand, those two blokes are Pakistanis (the country code is 92). Most Pakistanis speak Urdu, which is just a b-dized version of Hindi.

The first has no name, the second has a cell number equivalent to a large negative number...lol.
The first also has pretty bad naming conventions in place (or is just a lazy typer). My thoughts are he should use access to do the work in a normal, non-progammatical format.

I found a piece of javascript code when i did a code review. I am just sharing with you
function getState(radioButton)<br />
{<br />
if(radioButton.checked == true)<br />
return true<br />
else<br />
return false<br />
