Yes I tried to use Line property which contains the text in each line seperately in an array element.But when i use Line[i] to locate my line there was an erroe saying that there ia no array like that. If u can pls send me an ex coding how to get the text in a line using the Line property. It is urgent.

You're right. Lines only works if you hit enter to move to the next line. GetFirstCharIndexFromLine should work for you:

 Hello All !
I am writing a windows service which is running a Windows Form application.
I marked the desktop option in the windows service properties and the Form is shown when starting the service which is correct.
The problem is that I do not receive Windows Messages in this Form function WndProc.
When I run this Windows application separetely namely not from a windows service, I use the spy++ application to see the WM , I see many WM that hit this form.
But when running spy++ on the same Form that is rendered from a Windows Service this Form does not receive any WM.
I anyone did something similar or anybody know if it is possible to receive WM on a Form that is rendered from a windows service I will be grateful.

This article should have everything you need about doing UI for your Service. A Service is by definition, a program without any UI... so it's tricky to go out of that box.

Selecting the text you want colored, then setting myRTB.SelectionColor should do it.

and I want to color the for statement only.How can I
select the text releted to for statement without statements

Hi,
the easiest way is to color the text while adding it to the RTB:
int start=rtb.SelectionStart;
rtb.Add("some text");
int end=rtb.SelectionStart;
rtb.Select(start, end-start);
rtb.SelectionColor=color;
If that is not possible, you must somehow parse the existing text to find
the piece you want colored (e.g. by locating/counting the newlines).

But the problem is not solved totally.
The number of characters which change the color is not static for everytime.
It changes time to time.
So can U pls tell me how to color the text from (2 , to the end of the text)

I created an installer project for my C# windows forms app, but it won't overwrite previous versions of the program. The users have to go to their Add/Remove Programs, and uninstall it there, then the new installer will run. I can't find anything about this on Google or in the MSDN. I found reference to a property of OverwritePreviousVersion, but I can't find it in my project anywhere? I've looked through all the properties windows of the application, and of the installer project...
Where do I set this option? I just need it to overwrite the EXE file really... the rest of the stuff can stay... well I'd need to update the shortcuts in the programs menu too I think...
