i am displaying time from 10:00 to 00.00 in a textbox. it's working fine .but the problem is when i click a button it is again starting from 10:00.How can i solve this problem

If you do a postback, your variable is reloaded. You can store the value in a hidden field and get it from there when the page reloads.

I have a crystal report with 5 columns in it.
The last column is getting cut into half along with the report title.
I am using Crystal Reports for VS2005.

Hi,
It could be because your paper size is too small for the column sizes. You can either make the box sizes smaller if they dont get cut off, or you can change the page settings by looking at:
1. Your margin settings, Right-click>Design>Page Settings
OR
2. Change your page to landscape rather than portrait, Right-click>Design>Printer Settings.

hai,
i am new to .net,i created one template coloumn in grid view i placed a dopdownlist in that i set allow pageing is true .
the problem is when i select any value in dropdown list and go to the nextpage index and back ro the orginalpage the value which i selected is disappearing ,please help me

it seems to me as postback problem.
Are you binding grid in page_load event then use ispostback.

Hi Guys and Gals.
Me again. So, I finally got my report to work the way I want in ASP.NET 2005 C# on my development server. On the production server however it throws a configuration error where my Crystal Report Engine has been registered. On my production server only the Framework is installed and not Visual Studio.
Any Idea what could be the cause of this?

Hi,
I am not making use of a setup project. I copy the folder across to the IIS of the development server, then I just re-configure the application in IIS. All the other projects works, only this one that make use of Crystal doesn't work.

You will not get the crystal report dlls with the framework. So you have to include the crystal report dlls from Visula studio.net. So you must go setup and deployment wizard and adding crystal reports merged modules.

Hi,
In one of my project i also get the same error.
.net framework did not have support of crystalreport dlls.
So i use crystalreport msi setup in my visual studio setup file(you can have it where you install visual studio in you computer).
And then i use that msi setup and install in my server. it's works.
So i thing same problem you may have.

Hi There.
I usually create a function that loops through my page and do a check to see if the control is a textbox, if it is it sets the Text property to "". You can then call this function from anywhere.

If you want to calculate in server side then go for AJAX
otherwise do it in Javascript code.

We all familiar that IIS server in our System process our application or our page..
I will Give an Ex:
Lets consider I am having an login page if I entered the loginname and password and click enter what happens & how request will reach IIS. I know that the url is the only bridge between IIS and Explorer plse explain me what happening beneath..............

Its like this, When browser requesr any URL first time , server generate a Unique variable called SessionID and with response return this session ID , this session ID will remain on the browser cookie for the next request,
When u out userId and passwork and click on the login button the request for the page goes with the values you have entered, this can be thru GET/POST what ever you have selected in yout FORM tag. server then execute the page and return Status=200 (OK) and the HTML which browser can display,
with asp.net control, server generate the corresponding HTML controls based on the BROWSER type, eg for asp:lable it generate for IE and <layer> tag for netScape
If u want to know any specif thing, do ask that as well since its a very wast thing includinh HEADERS /CACHE etc

Hi all,
I got a solution myself for my previous questions.
Now I have other two question on Chart FX that is
Question1: When I have three series in my chart, I want to have three different types of labels on the same xaxis for each series correspondingly.
Question2: When I display the point labels on the series the point labels are different from what data I pass to that series.
For example: when I pass this array to the series
array = {30.2, 40.2}
the point labels were displaying 3020.0, 4020.0
But I want the point labels to be like the data I pass to the series that is 30.2, 40.2
Please help me out on this.
