If it's a wav file you can use the classes of System.Media.

plz tell me is this necessary that there must be an audio player in my application.or without an audio player i can play a wave file(only by giving the path of that wavefile) ?

Hi,
you can play a sound file using P/Invoke:
public static void PlaySoundFile(string fileSpec) {
int res=PlaySound(fileSpec, 0, 0);
if (res==0) log("Failed to play sound "+fileSpec);
}
[DllImport("Winmm.dll", CharSet=CharSet.Ansi,
CallingConvention=CallingConvention.Cdecl)]
static extern int PlaySound(string filespec, int hModule, int dwFlags);

I was wondering where to start with mic input with C#. I am doing a project on pitch extraction in real time (which will later become a guitar tuner) and so need to be able to capture sounds with a microphone.
Thanks

Hello,
I think you are looking for a "protected" member, which only can be accessed from inherited classes.
All the best,

No No ... i just wana ask "is there any way to access the 'private' (not protected) data of a class from outside the class"
|
|
|
|
|
if you want to get to the private data you are going to need to use reflection.

internal?
this will allow other classes within the same assembly use the method

Hi Friends,
Class Implementing an interface implies class declaring publicly that it is implementing certain method(whose signature is defined in interface)..whats the use of this contract..What if class will simply implement that method..
