I have a Infragisics data grid control in a web page. I want to show its contents alone in a separate page upon clicking a button. Once the new window is shown i want to print the contents of the grid in the deafult printer. How can i do this one.. Anyone please help..

You can't do that with a regular web application. You need to create (or find) a component (like an ActiveX component or Java applet) that runs in the browser and does the recording.

Hi,
I designed a two-column layout website, looks fine in IE6. But if I try to open the same in Mozilla Firefox, the center column overlaps with Left column...
Meanwhile, I tried to change it to 3-column layout, it worked in IE & FF too.. could anyone please help me why my 2-col layout isn't working in FF? Do I need to do any changes in my code?..

Do check your table and its column's width should be in only (%) not (px) got it.

I could be wrong, but rather than use the suggestions above, I think it is quicker / more efficient (for large databases anyway) to use something like
select count(ID) from [tableName]
Assuming your table has an ID field.... (otherwise, I dare say any fieldname would do, but again, an Int type probably would be most efficient.)
Someone may correct me....

Same way you print anything... you have to read the result into a variable and print it.
You can use the ExecuteScalar command on a Command object to read the number directly into a variable - eg, in VB, SQLServer:
Dim objCmd As SqlCommand
Dim n As Integer, s As String
...
objCmd.CommandText = "SELECT COUNT(ID) FROM TableName"
n = objCmd.ExecuteScalar
...
s = "There are " & n.ToString & " records in the database."

iframes are nested frames which may refer to another source ( .html page) .
Here is an example which displays the user name when clicking on the button
1. detailform.html
Enter your name : <input type="textbox" name="txtUserName" id="txtUserName"/>
2. iframesample.html - constructs iframe referring detailform.html

Hi All
I am developing a search Engine in which i result will diplay at the left rame of the page and if i click the link(from result) that should be open in right frame. So What should i use so that left frame will not have to post back each time.
Which one will be better Iframe or Frameset ? i don't know anything about them right now

Nothing much .. Just make it a user control and just add this user control to every page
|

Hey it is very simple, just make the menu control in the user control, and add that user control to all the pages where ever you need that menu control.

Hi all!
Please help me in my problem.
I'm developing a 'plugin' to the web-site. I can't change any files in root web-site
My aspx files are placed in ~/plugins/task/ folder.
I create web.config in this folder with appSettings and user section. In code-behind file i tried to read application settings written in web.config, but i can't see them  . My user section is also unavailable.
Is there a way to accomplish my task or I should use resource files for my settings?
