Didn't I answer this ? You cannot capture the screen with javascript. If a java applet can capture the screen then you can write one, that would no longer be an ASP.NET question.

hi.
I want to show the content of a Datagrid in marquee mode ...
I mean the datagrid's content should cross over and repeats ...
what should I do ?
I tried putting datagrid in <marquee> code but it doesnt work.it just shows the complete datagrid. but not a marquee
for example I have some "News" in my datagrid. I want to show the title of them in a marquee...how can I do it? Confused | :confused:

the news are in datagrid and its correct but how to show the title of them in marquee??
do u know about it?

Hi i have two times...,

dim intime as datetime=09:15
dim outtime as datetime =16:00
How to compare the two times???,
The above one outtime is greater than intime...,
how to check that one, outtime is greater than intime like?,

and suppose
dim intime as datetime=20:45
dim outtime as datetime =16:00
This one intime is greater than outtime...,
how to check that intime is greater than outtime like?,

Hi in my table i have intime and outtime...,
the format is:
intime will look 09:13 and
outtime will be 20:56 like..,
with the help of string datatype i stored this time in my table...,
now i want to compare the two times...,
which one will be greater than another like...,
means its 24:00 hrs format...,
so in mycase i want to consider 24:00 is the highest time and 00:00 is the lowest time like...,
Plz how to compare the two times...,
hlp me...,

if 16 > 9, then it's greater. If they are the same, then if 15 > 0, it's greater.

Or you can create two DateTimes, with the same date and your times, subtract one from the other and see if the DateSpan you get back is positive.

ya i assigned the two string values in my datetime method
dim intime as datetime=09:00
dim outtime as datetime=20:00

Not sure if this will work, you've not assigned a date, check in the debugger what happens. But, now you just subtract one from the other.

i have this button on my asp.net page, all i wanr with the button is to call a javascript function which is on a separate script.

how can i called a function on the script called ValidateControl from clicking a button

Like you are calling an inline java script function..

in page load give

Only, you don't use the "javascript:" protocol when you don't put the code in an url.

Button1.Attributes.Add("onclick","ValidateControl();")

or in framework 2:

Button1.OnClientClick = "ValidateControl();"

Hi,

Everybody post their problem to get help only.

The point here that your subjeline should be clear.

Your subject line should depict your problem briefly.

Your subject line coulde "Implement Sorting in gridview" or "Problem in sorting with gridview".

"Need Help" dosent show anything and many of the people are not keen to open such type of thread and hence the chances you get the solution is less and response time is more.

I hope you got my point.

The sorting is usually done before the data gets to the gridview. If you are using a sqldatasource or an objectdatasource those controls will sort the data for you. If you are not using those controls you need to sort it when the data is returned from the database.
