Hi All I m new to asp.net.

i have created a web application in c# and ASP.NET1.1 that is having a button on click of which
spawns a web page which is hosted on my localhost!
i have given the URL to my friend.Now he/she access it .
I want a alert box or some notification on my local computer that the webpage from my localhost
is being accessed.
Is it possible with .NET 1.1 ?
If yes, how?

I dont know how you get an alert window if some one browsing your url from his/her PC. but try the following, you just copy and paste the following into your web.config file.
<trace enabled="true" requestlimit="10" pageoutput="false" tracemode="SortByTime">save the file. then ask your friend to browse the URL which you given. after that, your browse the URL like: http://localhost/yourapp?trace.axd

if you are followed the steps properly. you will see the trace details by entering the following URL:
http://localhost/yourappname?trace.axd
suppose my virtual directory name is "bhavna" the URL would be:
http://localhost/bhavna?trace.axd
remember you did not mention your page name here.

see i have created a web application which is having a button.
On button click i coded
Response.Redirect("http://mycomputername/abc.php");
which opens a php page on button click
Now i have given this link to someone else
http://mycomputername/Popalert/webForm1.aspx
and turned trace to true.
when i accessed
http://mycomputername/Popalert/webForm1.aspx?trace.axd
i got nothing but the page which is the webform.
No trace i got

I want the regular expression to validate the following things in RegularExpressionValidator(REV)
1. Contain at least 6 alphanumeric characters.
2. NOT be all numeric
3. NOT allow the User ID to be House OR Guest

I want to know how to create the report for all Branches .
I already created for the particualr branch when selected in dropdown box; but if i have ALL option in the DropDown Box then it should show me all the
branch report for that i write the sp which takes branch_id, fromdate
and todate parameter. and it shows me the rport but how to handle this ALL.

Your Stored Procedure should look like the following:
CREATE PROCEDURE sp_Branch_Report
@branch_id nvarchar(20) = NULL,
@fromdate datetime = NULL,
@todate datetime = NULL
when you call the above stored procedure:
ALL->sp_Branch_Report
BranchId->sp_Branch_Report 'BRANCH1'
Date->sp_Branch_Report null,'01/05/2007','30/05/2007'
another example->sp_Branch_Report 'BRANCH1','01/05/2007','30/05/2007'
hope this could resolve your problem. ensure the date format before you pass it.

I want to create a "Windows Scheduled Tasks" during the setup of my web application and it was created successfully. sometimes the user might change the scheduled time for the job. but i have found that there is no option to change the schedule time for a job. so that, i have decided to delete and recreate the job in (windows scheduled tasks) through my .aspx page. but it was not happening. could you anyone guide me how to accomplish this.
The authentication mode is "Windows". i have also tried creating jobs using "AT.exe".

Hi all,
I checked many forums to find a solution for my problem, so far in vain. Perhaps because I don't really know which keywords would bring me to a solution.. Anyway my problem is as follows:
I need to be able to change the characters "[" to "ë" and "]" to "ç" as the user types them in a textbox (and/or textarea). For individual cases I've found a solution using javascript and the onkeyup event and it works perfectly.
However, since I am most probably going to need such a feature for any webpages (and all editable text controls in them) I design in the future, I was hoping that there is a way to change the actual ASP.NET TextBox control in such a way, that it by default has the onkeyup='changeAllBracketsToAlbanian(this)' included. A customized TextBox is not a big help because things get complicated with GridViews that would only render classical TextBoxes...
I appreciate any ideas.
