Hi,

In the html page,
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" dir="rtl" >

when dir="rtl" then the vertical scrollbar comes on the left sideof the form. I need to do this in the code behind page...how can i do it?

Hi,
You can done this at code behind
Provide id=htmlid runat="server" to head tag

<br />
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" id="htmlid" runat=server><br />

From code behind use

<br />
    htmlid.Attributes.Add("dir", "rtl")<br />

to set attribute.

Can someone show me how to read out the contents of a (Belgian) e-Id Card by a web page ?

I would like to create a website where accounts can be created by entering a e-Id card and pressing 'New account'. The system would automatically fill in the web-form.

Hi,
I'm making online exam system using asp.net, now i'm in the exam page, i read questions, choices, allow multiple choise and right answer, i create controls in run time to carry all the data ( Lable for question, checkboxlist or radiobuttonlist for choices), i create arraylist to put questions right answer in it and another one to put student answers.
My problem here is how to store student answers from the selection change for checkboxlist or radiobuttonlist, and how to compare two arraylists to get finall result?

Please i want solution for my problems.
If anyone have better solution than what i do please tell me.

You can use two Hashtable instead of arraylist. And it is good to use question number as key for both hashtables. Then you can easily find answer of each question by the question number.

You are creating controls dynamically. right? If so, you can do a postback using javascript. Use two hidden controls for storing qustion number and selected answer. Set these hidden variables before postbacking the page. Then you will get the values in the codebehind. add this to the selected answers hash table.

Then use simple loop to compare both hash tables

Hello, we are developing application which uses MODI(Microsoft Office Document Imaging) library for OCR the documents. It`s working ok on development machines (Windows XP Sp2) but not working on Windows Vista. During the executing of OCR method of Modi.Document class error has been thrown - 'Ocr running error'. We couldn't find useful information on the internet. Does anybody know useful solution?

MODI.Document recognizedDocument = null;
recognizedDocument = new MODI.Document();
recognizedDocument.Create(tempFileName); // Some existing tif image file
recognizedDocument.OCR(MiLANGUAGES.miLANG_ENGLISH, true, true); // On this row exception throws

We resolve this problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We install MS Office 2007 instead of MS Office 2003

All work fine.

Hi Guys,

I had finished developing my asp pages and I would like to put it on a common pc so that the rest of the users can access these pages. I am using ASP.net 2005 with dotnet framwork 2. May I know what configuration do I need to do on the pc that my asp pages resides?

all the PCs should be in network. and if u want to access u r application from server PC, in the clint PC u have to give link like this

http://ip address of server (or)server name/u r application name/

Thank you for your reply but I have tried that...It can't work..And how do I open a port on other pc? I installed Visual Studio on my pc and thats why a port is opened for me. If I do not install Visual Studio, what am I suppose to do?

No need...the webserver does that for you

Hi,

I have copied my files into inetpub/wwwroot and enable websharing. I then entered the address http://localhost/bh/index.aspx but the page still cannot be displayed out. Do I need to specify any port such as locahost:8080 ?? I can't seemed to get it working...

Hi,

I think IIS should be installed in your server.
Use publish web site in build menu. specify a folder in target location
copy that folder to C:\inetpub\wwwroot
give web sharing for the folder.

then try http://yourservername/foldername/loginpage.aspx

after deploying u r application on windows server(iis) no need of .net installed on u r client PC and also in u r server pc, but in server PC .net frame work should be installed.

and if u want to access u r application which is deployed in the server system from client PC u have to give the server PC ip address or server PC name must and should, it will work..... Blush | :O

1. Install IIS
2. Create a virtual directory in the iis websites/default websites and it should point to your home page directory. Keep your home page name as default.html or index.html. Eg:- MyHome
3. Desable firewalls if any.
4. Use http:///MyHome from remote machine

I'm not sure what you need...but you can try with session time out which is configured in web.config file

What do you mean by expiration in this case? In what way should the page and control expire? Do you want something to happen at the moment of expiration, or do you want it to affect something else that is happening?
