Hi
I think the date field of the DB is date type. And the date in view state may be string type. Please make sure both are date type. If both are string type it will not return correct result, because it is using string sort not the date sort.

Why the hashes in the string ? I've never seen that before.
Are you certain there are dates in those viewstate properties ? What if you run the SQL directly on your access DB ?
and, as someone said, your start date needs a time of 0:00:00 and your end date needs a time of 23:59:59, if it's going to return all records for the days specified, regardless of time.

How can i give start date 0:00:00 and end date 23:59:59. And that hashes are used for Date in Access. Also my query gives correct result. But gives problem if for example result is of Date 12/12/2007 and I want to search between 11/12/2007 and 13/12/2007.

How to Transfer Value from One Page to another Page Using Hidden Fields.
I am using ASP.NET 1.1

in terms of vb.net
Response.Redirect("MyForm.asp?hiddenvalue=" & HiddenField1.value)

1->If you are using Server.Transfer method then you can get it from Request.Form object by specifying the Hidden field name.
2-> You can user session variable to pass the value, set it before redirecting.
3-> Or you can pass it in query string.

You should pass the value from first page to another.
In ur code u are not doing that.

Use the following example.
<form id="frmworld" name ="frmworld" method=POST action = "https://select.worldpay.com/wcc/purchase" >
<input type="hidden" name="instId" id="instId" value="4343" runat="server">
<input type=hidden name="cartId" id ="cartId" value="4343" runat=server />
</form>

Hello
How to implement URL Rewriting in ASP.NET 2.0 ? To be more specific, I need to implement URL Rewriting. I have done the same in VS2003. But when I did a conversion to VS2005, it's not working. I am facing problem to add the reference in web.config. Because ASP.NET 2.0 is not creating any assemblies. So how can I specify the HTTP module reference in ASP.NET 2.0 web.config ???

This is usually permissions or a corruption/not-installed problem.
To check permissions, here are a few suggestions to try. While trying these suggestions, you may want to try the most liberal settings, until it works, and then tighten the settings down to make sure your server is secure.

Satips, thks for your reply.

can u guide me more details??
the email sending is working properly when i try to send out in my local pc. but after uploading to hosting site. i get the error message that i post just now. Is it the coding problem or something tht the configuration or setting need on the hosting site??

If you are using "localhost" for the SmtpMail.SmtpServer property , you may want to try the following:
Open up IIS Admin. Locate the SMTP Server, and right-click select Properties. On the Security tab, add the ASPNET account as an Operator. Close the dialoag, and stop/start the SMTP Service. If this works, I don't know how to tell you to fix this problem. Sorry. However, I consider this a security breach, and would recommend you purchase a 3rd party product, and not use System.Web.Mail. Evidently there is something funky with your machine.
And Make sure all the settings are done and check it for the mail in the hosting service too.

Satips.

That means your program is taking too much time to execute the page. Anyway after deployment, when we call the page it will compile then serve the page. Try using precompiled website before deploying.

it seems to me that ur application taking more than 90sec...(In our .net environment no application is allowed to exicute more than 90 sec) if we want to allowe our application to be exicuted more than that period let's do this ----in the machine.config file there is an element called httpRuntime with in that there is one attribute executionTimeout=90 there u can prolong (i.e make it like 120 0r...)such that server won't send this kind of error provided ur appliation must exicuted before the mentioned time
|
|
|
|
|
I can't find machine.config, there is only web.config file, in this file I also can't find element called <b>httpRuntime</b>???
Can i solve this problem if I increase the <b>Connect Timeout</b> more (i.e like 60 or 90)
<add name="ASPNETDBConnectionString" connectionString="Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename="F:\Final Project\TestOnlineSystem\App_Data\ASPNETDB.MDF";Integrated Security=True;Connect Timeout=30;User Instance=True" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"/>
<b>Thanks and best regart !</b>

Here u can go to find the machine.config file--C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\CONFIG\Machine...observe carefullly u will find the element which is mentioned there...!
httpRuntime executionTimeout="90" maxRequestLength="4096" useFullyQualifiedRedirectUrl="false" minFreeThreads="8" minLocalRequestFreeThreads="4" appRequestQueueLimit="100"
