Hi all,
I have this big problem with hyperlinks I would appriciate any help please.
My web site has two datagrids on the same page. And one has a list of names of the users which are in form of hyperlinks. The second datagrid is for inserting data, and when a user inserts data I used 'Windows Authentication' for names in one column called Name.
Now this is how it's supposed to work: When any user want to see data about a particular user it's a matter of selecting his name and the data about the selected individual should be the only ones to be shown.
I got some examples on Google but they all seem not to be working.
Tha's why I'm here for help please!

What do you mean by "not working"?
Use Server.UrlEncode to encode the name value before putting it in the url.

Hi Guffa,
Been away for a while but I'm now back. What I ment by not working, when I select the hyperlinks text the semilar columns are not selected at all nothing changes. that's where my trouble is situated.

Hi,
1) I have a query on Session Variable management. When the IIS resets, will the Session needed to be reinitialize if the mode we put as Inproc? I read like this in one of the article of Session Management. But if the mode is in OutProc or SQL Server, session willnot go off and there is no need to reinitialize it again.
2) When the application variable will reinitialize? Once we declared an application, will it required to be reinitialize?
Please advice.

1) is correct
2) when you re-start IIS the first user to access the web site with initialize the application variable. There is an application_start event in the global.asax that you could do this initialization.

I think you can't do that 
Did you want to use the current page controls in another page
then you you have to crate a usercontrol ....

I'm pretty sure thats right, one page can't inherit from another.
What you can do is have a base page class that inherits from Page (inside your App_Code directory), and have every page inherit from that. You could even have more than one base page if you have different functions you want to re-use.

Yes you are right i have done this in My project for checking Credentials and for state management with proper workflow .
But i think his requirements are different Might be he wanted some exisitng controls and function to be used in another page

I am trying to display images in a datagrid. I can place the image control into the datagrid ok, but when it comes to retrieving the imageurl from my sqlexpress database it doesn't load the image. Can anyone help please? Below is some of the code i have already.

What exactly r u storing in the database as a path of the image.
Do u store only the name of the image or path of the image?
Is that path relative or fixed?

Hi,
Your images reside on client machine or on server ?
If they are on server then you should store relative paths of them in the database and then assign those paths to to the imagecontrols.

Hai to all,
How to get refresh the data after inserting data into database in the form,if i click on refresh button ,there is nothing happening.CAn any one suggest me with some code ,so that i can refresh after editing something on the form and database changes should be shown on the form itself.
Here i am using Navigation Buttons,after adding somvalues,i f i go for the just inserted value,it is not showing,it is giving an error like no data present.
I haven't given any code seperately for refresh.

thanks for ur reply,Here i am not using any type of Grid,Just a simple form having txt's and ddl's and label's.
Can u please suggest me some idea.How can i refresh the data which is already sent to database.THe refresh shd shown while i am navigating the buttons.The last entered record is not appearing at that perticular parse.If i close the form and if i again open,then it is coming.
I want after immediate insertion the data shd be refresh
