I'm using asp.net 2.0 and sql server 2000. I'm using a transaction to wrap the execution of 2 insert commands on the sql server together. On the development system everything works fine. On the target system it executes the 2 inserts properly but then displays the error message:
Sqltransaction is finished and cannot be used anymore

does it try to make a rollback? but the things are inserted properly.
And then it makes the funny Zombiecheck and maybe found one.

It will be much more helpful if you can post some sample code of transaction what you wrote and the data you inserted..

ok thats the code: I execute it in the gridview_RowCommand()
and on the development system everything is great.

Ok I solved that, the MsgBox() calls were the reason. When I pulled them out it works well on the targhet system

hi,
I have a grid view which i am creating dynamically in the code behind with hyperlink fields.on click of each hyperlink field i have to open up a new pop window using javascript and passing multiple parameters. I am doing something like this. But the problem is in my page, the value of the parameters that i am getting is {0} and {1} instead of their actual values. Any solutions how i can go about this?

User System.Threading.Thread class.
for example, If u want to dalay for 5 seconds at server side then,
System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(5000);
where argument is in miliseconds.

I tried to edit,update the fields by adding textbbox with in the grid view.
but the error was "Index was out of range.must be non negetive and less than the size of the collection.parameter name:index"
Error was in line

I have implemented using Microsoft AJAX 1.0 to one of my application. Everything works fine. But I have to call a Javascript function everytime the page loads and postbacks. The onload function is working fine for the first time and the page will never postbacks since I am using AJAX.
Any solution??

How flexible is the MS stuff ? I'd hope you can change your control to call your method as well as the AJAX method, or change the method called to one that calls the existing one and your function. Or, perhaps you need to intercept the code that gets called on the client side when the AJAX call returns.
Basically, you need to work out what's being generated, and how you can hook into it, on the client side.
