hi,
pls help me to find a solution
I have implemented ajax timer in my project,but when we run the app,if we try to access the internet options from tools menu ,the timer event stops from triggering ,then gets back to the same time.So it fails to maintain the time.
so wht could be a better solution,disabling the tool bars or anything else?
pls help

Hello there
I'm having trouble getting started with asp.I've installed the IIS server ok.
i have an incomplete web app in .aspx which i put in the wwwroot folder ,i go to the properties and make it run like an application ..Cool
I choose let's say the Login.aspx and i click BROWSE and i get in mozzilla something like
-2362632 x00e83 or something.what is this????
i then try to open the solution from Visual Studio.Net and i get that "the server doesn't run asp 1.1"
but i have the .net framework1.1 installed and the 1.2 also
in another words what i have to do to finally run asp.net pages on my IIS???
Any advice would be really helpfull, my proggraming expierience is limited to php
PS:the SQL Server 2000 won't run on XP?

Hii,
Open Visual studio Command editor(Start->All Programs->Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003-->Visual Studio .NET Tools-->Visual Studio .NET 2003 Command Prompt
and run command: aspnet_regiis -i
enjoy..........

What you tried with WIzard control and what error it shows while using this wizard control.
Pls be specific here while posting the question so that only we can help you in solving the problem.

hi sorry for not giving the details.......
i am using a Wizard control in master page, I use this.ID = "Master1";
in order to avoid the problem of displaying Menu control in the master.
if i use this.ID = "Master1" in my master page my wizard is not navigating....
Any Solution.........

NOW I WANT TO CONVERT THAT PAGE INTO .ASPX PAGE .PLS TELL ME WAT R THE EASY WAYS TO CONVERT THEM INTO DOTNET PAGES...SO THAT THE ALIGNMENT DOESNOT CHANGE.AND FIT INTO ANY MONITER...

What you can do is to paste the html content in the design part of the aspx page and then change all the controls whichever is required to server controls and after that you can add functionality to the page.
Is there any specific reason for writing the complete message in capital letters?

I don't think that alignment will change are pasting the html code one after one, if so inspite of that you can paste the complete code at a time and then replace the controls with the server controls.

I have an HTML page having lot of images and text. I want to create an .aspx page having the same interface so i copy pasted the same html code on an .aspx pagein the ASP.Net application.Then i tried putting a dropdownlist and textbox controls on the page but it,s not giving me textbox nor dropdownlist. I am getting a multiline textbox with scrollbars. i have checked the properties...all fine but just dnt knw wats wrong. i have also used runat="server"
Wat should i do wen i paste HTML code?

No error....it is simply not getting displayed properly.

There can be no reason that if everything is placed properly it will not be displayed. Check whether they are in proper tag or you have given all the required attributes properly.

first Create a new aspx page and then copy your HTML Code only in between <body></body> tags and paste it inbetween aspx page <body></body>.

How do I stop the postback from a asp button? I want to do some validation on

you can do this by adding small attribute(JavaScript function) to Button.
on form load event of code behind file
<Your Button Name>.Attributes.Add("OnClick", "return confirm('Continue?');");
or
<asp:Button ID="btnSample" runat="server" Text="View Detail"
OnClientClick="return confirm('Continue?');" />
