use FindWindow to Find the Window Handle of the Text Box and using WM_GETTEXT method retrieve the length... Before sending the WM_GETTEXT, send WM_GETTEXTLENGTH to retrieve the length of the Text

Window Name is name of the application Window.. from there you have to Enumerate the Child Window using FindWindowEx function (sorry my mistake here). i believe your seond problem solved using Handle return by FindWindowEx!

Hi all.
I have data in my ODBC, and I need to see it in my window like grid.

You can use ADO in combination with datagrid control.

I'm writing a program that interfaces with a device through the Parallel port. I know in XP the direct I/O is disabled, and I can't use outp and inp.
Right now I am using TotalIO as a workaround, but I wanna know if there is a "right" way to do this.
I have read to use "CreateFile" and I see a lot of examples using COM1; but following those examples but replacing LPT1 for COM1 doesn't seem to work.
Thanks

Hi, I am very new to DirectX/DirectShow. I am trying to play a raw video stream into a window. Is there a sample source code that I can use. I don't know anything about direct draw. If you know of any good book to help me I realy appriciate it.
Thanks

I'm not sure though; have you tried exploring video[^] section on CP.

If you are using DirectShow then there are renderer filters included that will do it for you.
Check the list of directshow filters - there's the old Video Renderer, plus the newer mixing
renderers - VMR-7 and VMR-9.

Dear brothers,
I have been stuck up a sorting and ranking algorithm. For example I have an array of integers, say
int array[5] = {4, 5, 1, 9, 3}.
I should rank the integers based on maximum value in the array. So I need rank like this,
{3, 2, 5, 1, 4}.
Ranking can be acheived by a sorting algorithm, but the elements will be sorted ascending or descending which is to be avoided.
At present I can forget about the ranking of repeated elements in the array.

if you want sorting to be avoided .. perform your operation on temp data!

Thankyou for your reply.
Temp Data?. Is that the one we use in bubble sort for swaping?. sorry.

temporary copy of whole array!

Dear brother, thank you for reply.
Making temporary copy is fine. But ranks will not match the unsorted original array.
