Hi,
First of all, it works fine locally, it has too many options in tool bar, and i m facing isuee regarding deployment even BasePath is set correctly, and i want editor with small option like B,I,U,Table,Image Uploader, Hyper Link, Bullet Point and some more, if you any one simpler than fck plz let me or guide me how to deploy fckeditor,

If you look into FCK Editor you can set it up to use any of the available buttons your require. On the project im working on right now i have only bold, italic, colours and link buttons available. Check on their site for the how to but as i remember it involves editing a text file that comes with it.
You need to add the FCK editor.dll into your bin folder in your project for it to work as well. You should be able to find all this on their site.

Is there any configuration involved to run it live, i have added dll to bin folder but still not running live, but running locally fine.

That's the Editor in the HTML
Dim Body As String = FCKeditor.Value
And thats how I reference it in the code.
FredCK.FCKeditorV2.dll is referenced in the bin folder. And thats it. There really should be any more to it than that. Look in the fckconfig.js file for config options. It looks like a mess in there I know but its actually quite straightforward.
Make sure the .Dll has made it up to the server

Thanks for helping out, but i still did not get it running, BAsic tool bar is great, I have these things on my page and project:
1-Complete FCKEditor Director is coppied to my Project root location
2-Dll is added to bin folder
3-<%@ Register Assembly="FredCK.FCKeditorV2" Namespace="FredCK.FCKeditorV2" TagPrefix="FCKeditorV2" %> this to register
4-<fckeditorv2:fckeditor id="txtEditor" runat="server" basepath="~/FCKeditor/" Height="400px" EnableViewState="False" ToolbarSet="Basic" ></fckeditorv2:fckeditor> this to show the editor on page
5-Running locally
6-Not running live.
It seems i am not doing anything wrong but it is not working live, plz figure out something wrong wt im doing.

All i get is an error. Have a look for yourself. Follow the instructions it displays to show more detailed error to me. Otherwise I wont be able to see anything!!

Hi,
I'm trying to connect to a web service. I can connect to it and see a list of supported methods from my computer at home but I can't see it from a computer at work. I've asked the provider of the web service to stick a test HTML page at the same location of the web service and I can see this page from both computers. In other words, I can see a web page from my work computer but can't see a web service published at the same location!
This is confusing me because I thought web services did all their work via port 80. This is like there's another port being used which is blocked.
Can anyone explain this? Is a web service's traffic over port 80 exclusively?
Even more confusingly, from my work machine I can connect to another web service at another location just fine. This surely means that my machine is not preventing me from accessing web services, it means that even though I can view other web services and HTML from a particular server, I can't access one particular web service.
How can this be?

I have made small web application.(using file – new – web website – and choosen file system (in the location option)) Now I want to deploy this project over the intranet.

Once your happy with your work click Build, Publish Web Site. This should build the site files and out them in My Documents, Projects, [Name of your project]. Download a FTP program such as Smart FTP and upload it to some web server. The webserver MUST have ASP.NET version 2 installed for your site to work.

If you want to deploy your web site in local intranet first you must instal IIS. Then navigate to Administrative Tools choose IIS and create new virtual catalog. The wizard will run you through the proces.

I suppose first of all u have to publish ur website. by right clicking the project on solution bar.
It will convert ur code in to dlls,and create a secure virtual dictory, then u can use any method to deploy it in the web... and ofcourse that server should have the 2.0 framework.

hi all,
I need help for writting a client side code (JavaScript function) that changes the color of a row in datagrid when this row is clicked.
The grid is rendered as html table on the client,and the problem is how to associate the javascript function with each table row generated from the grid???!!!
I think also that this function will be passed an argument of this Row ID ..
How to accomplish that ?? Code samples will be very helpful.
and is there any way to determine if a row have been clicked form the server side code??

On row created event of grid u can add javascript function like this

i have wrtten the program to read the Outlook mail (pop3)
my login is workin fine but the problem is for every 10 min i am getting the follwing error in the Message box(alert),if i set this it is wroking for 10 min more.how can i over come this
Error Message/Alert is
A program is trying to access e-mail address you have stroredin outlook.Do you want ot allow this
