Since you have tested the code to be working with Win Forms. Check if : a) The ASP.NET System account has enough permissions to perform a mail merge. b) The path to the word document can be accessed by the ASP.NET App (check folder permissions) if still u'r problem exist then save u'r file temporarly on local system with default path. and then open it from default path.
