The Adrotator control specifies the interval between each <ad> tag to be displayed you can only change the <impressions> to change the order of the pictures.

thanks but that does'nt work for me. I want an explicit procedure for calling the windows service from the windows application. I know how to use the windows service. the link you sent me describes how to create and use the windoes services. But i am not looking for that.
I would clearly explain what i am looking for:
A Procedure or a method of how to call the windows Services from the windows application.

Hi,
Well i'd like the pages in my site to appear differently (such as background color, text size, font etc) based on if the user click on a certain button from the home page. Now the pages are the same as when the user doesn't click on the button (use customized site) and therefore what I'm thinking is to create new style sheets (in addition to the ones that are currently being used by the pages) and then add their references to the aspx pages also (since we could have multiple external style sheets in any particular aspx page). What do you guys think about this approach?? or if there's a better design then this???
Secondly if I go with this approach, how do I make the subsequent pages (after the user has clicked on Customize my site button) use the newly created styles sheets with my new properties?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Iam authenticate the user against Active directory. Iam able to access the active directory by using directoryentry. But when i use the built in features provided by .NET iam getting error.
If i give my username and password incorrectly it is giving "Invalid User Name or Password". if i give correct data i get error.
In My web.config i use the following values.

I'm using ASP.NET 2.0 and also applied Ajax Concept. Now in one page(MyAccount.aspx), if i click enter with focus on one Textbox this is redirecting to home page that is first page. I also using Master page. Why it's happening. It should redirect to that same page(i.e) My Account Page..

Is the TextBox within a login control? This may happen if you have the login control as the login control redirects to the default page.

Hi all,
In my asp.net application I need to display data in datagrid which is in Excel Sheet. For that i read the data into data table and then bind it. Now the problem is Application displays error message " Server Application Unavailable The web application you are attempting to access on this web server is currently unavailable. Please hit the "Refresh" button in your web browser to retry your request".
My application works fine if Excel Sheet contains upto 20000 rows. Problem araises more than 20000 records
Any one please help me.

It seems you are getting this error because of Server Timeout. You might like to consider async operation while working with this big operation.

hi,
In the web application developed using asp.net 2.0 , on the click event of a button a pop-up window is opened.
While running appliction pop-up window is opened after clicking the button (i.e. btn_click is called).Or alternatively if we want to call the same event when user press the Enter key by focussing control on that button using Tab key.In this case,click event is not called but I want it should be called.
I want Btn_click event should be called either
user will click on button(this is working) or
prees Enter key provided focus is on that button (even being focussed after hitting Enter key not working).
Hope you understood the problem. Please guide.

Hey Yog,
I think, when you press enter, the browser is using the same pop-up to open again.. Put an alert() message in the click event and check whether it is called or not.

i am making web based application using C# and asp.net(Visual Studio 2005). In my application , its mandatory to store ip address along with relevant data.
i used to get ip add as
ip = Request.ServerVariables["REMOTE_ADDR"];(ip is string veriable).
I want to know
1>how can i make this code global so that i do not have to assaign it every time
2>Is it work fine everywhere. as one of my friend said it will not effective in the network whereever there is firewall.

you should add a class to your project then create a method to obtain the ip address.
once you have done that all you need to do is declare and instantiate your class and call the method. this can be done anywhere in your application.
i use the following code to obtain ip address of remote users
Request.UserHostAddress()
this will always obtain ip address of remote users firewall or no firewall i use this for a customer portal site for tracking users.
