Does anybody have algorithm for character extraction from image ?
Where characters are deformed but in one horizontal line and vertically they are overlapping (i.e. it is not possible to separate two character through a vertical line ).........

I saw a lot of posts about playing cards algos. There is a volunteer who wants to write an article about, for beginners? (Maybe there is already a good article, I don't know).

You might want to find a fourm or website that deals specifically with Java. CodeProject is centered around Windows and Visual Studio .NET.

Dave,
There used to be on Java forum too but not listed now. However, 'Web Development' forum is a common platform on which this question can be asked.

ı have got a project.I want to circuit diagram and assembly code of controling motor.but i must to use ULN2003a chip on the circuit;
TOPIC=Multiple-Peed Stepper Motor Control and Digital Display
(To be submitted by 5 January 2006)
The term project is about writing an Assembly Language Program to control a Stepper Motor interfaced to a PC through the parallel port. The project contains the following 3 main modules:
1. Stepper Motor Driving Module (Output Module):
· The motor will rotate clockwise if f (forward) key is pressed and will rotate anticlockwise if r (reverse) key is pressed from the keyboard.
· The speed of the motor will be controlled by the external push buttons (Up and Down) connected to the PC through the parallel port. If Up button is pressed the speed will be incremented by 1 out of 10 speeds. Down button will work similarly.
2. Speed Display Module (Output Module):
· The speed of rotating motor will be indicated by displaying a single digit 7-segment display. There will be speeds from 0 to 9. The speed which is displayed on the 7-segment display will also be displayed on the monitor with its direction (clockwise or anticlockwise)
3. Up and Down Push Buttons (Input Module):
· The speed of the motor will be controlled by the two external push buttons. The speed will be incremented or decremented one by one by pushing to Up or Down buttons respectively.

It was just an internal CP article and hence a pointer tip.

Didn't you post this 11 months and 10 days too late? Or did you mean 2007.

I hope someone would make an article on how to use Nero Api for burning CD/DVD in VB.NET.
I know that there is a sample project for Nero Api but I think it's to complex to figure out and it is in C#.
The thing I looking for is a simple apllication which are showing how to burn some files on a DVD. Both in single session and multi session.
Thanks

Why Nero and not just any kind of CD/DVD burning API?

I'am currently using DVDWritePro from NumediaSoft and I get too many burning errors and DVD's with cyclic redudans errors. So I'll like to try Nero because I find there program very good and hope it will work better. and also because we already has a lot of unused Nero licenses.
Do you have another component im mind, please let me know.
