I just read your message because the next link was not working for me in this forum, but I found the MCTS SQL Server exam to be very easy. I have not taken the others yet, because i am going to be skipping them and going straight to the MCPD since I have only one more test to get that one.
I never found the MCSD to be diminished but it also does not show anyone that you know how to do coding either. Interview skills are what can help to get you a job and not just a certification. But it does help to keep you on the list of people to at least talk to on the phone and possibly bring in for an interview. That is what I have seen.

Yeah I do a lot of contracting and I have 10 years experience. And I was wondering how much it actually helped form the top contracts.

I have had quite a few places that were looking for the certifications as a requirement to even be interviewed. Of course my highest paying contract did not really care about it too much. It might have helped to get me an extra buck or two an hour, but not much if any.

Hello,
Me and my friends are students and we thought about a certain idea. If we want to implement it in real life by our own, we would need a lot of money or investors.
Anyway, what I was wondering is what alternatives do we have about making the idea come alive and earning ?
The idea subject is mostly new marketing features through computer technology.
Thanks, Clint

Good luck to you and your friends. Money-wise, try getting investing done through private, such as family and very close friends.

I've been working as a web developer for 2 1/2 years now. It's my first programming job since graduating school and while I was waaaaaay underpaid, it's been great professional experience for me. The time has come however, for me to begin looking for better opportunities (i.e. a higher salary) and I was just wondering what you guys feel is the best set of advanced skills I should be learning before sending out my resume.
Some have said to get into VOIP. Others have said to take some classes dedicated on security programming. I've been given about a half dozen different recomendations so I was just hoping you guys could help me narrow it down to one or two skills that have the brightest future ahead.
My current specialty is .NET programming (both vb.net & c#) but I also know Java & C/C++ pretty well also (plus of course the obvious ones such as ASP, JSP, Javascript, etc).
Any advice you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Anyone know how to get a salary increase with out changing jobs?
In my area I could easily make 10 to 20K more per year. The only thing is that I like my job. I just wanted to be paid close to market value for my skill set. Any ideas?
how vital enterprise application are for proactive organizations leveraging collective synergy to think outside the box and formulate their key objectives into a win-win game plan with a quality-driven approach that focuses on empowering key players to drive-up their core competencies and increase expectations with an all-around initiative to drive up the bottom-line. But of course, that's all a "high level" overview of things
