Hello everyone,
My problem is that using the Visual Studio .NET 2005 IDE I cannot create pages with conventional methods.
For example I create an html page (coding by hand) which have a simple table with 5 rows and every row has 3-8 columns, which includes som images etc.
Everything is going fine and I can view my html in every browser as expected.
But when I copy my table code into VS the table suddenly deformates. The rows and columns are not in their place, there occurs some spaces between some of them etc.
So what is the problem ? I am a really beginner so sorry if the question seems stupid :P
Thanx at all and best regards !

VS has always hacked HTML. I wouldn't use it for doing non ASP.NET web work.

rabing wrote: NavigateUrl='<%# "Javascript:queryHTTP('"
Single quotes overlap with double quotes. By the way, in my opinion this is not very readable (kinda confirmed by you not being able to spot error), I would make call to some function rather than inline mess, e.g.:
NavigateUrl='<%# MakeUrl( DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,"HostID") ) %>'
Body of MakeUrl function is left as exercise to readers.

javascript:-
function ChkVal(){<br />
<br />
if(document.getElementById('Txt_uname').value==""){<br />
alert("Enter User Name");return false;}<br />
if(document.getElementById('Txt_pw).value==""){<br />
alert("Enter Password");return false;}<br />
}<br />
<br />
<br />
write below code in pageload event;-
BT_login.Attributes.Add("Onclick", "return Chkval()")
///
u can also validate gridview's textbox by getting its id.
i.e
if(document.getElementById('Txt_gridtextid').value==""){
alert("message here");return false;}

Hi all!
I have the following problem.
I am doing a website for car renting shop as a part of a coursework.
The user should be able to view a list of cars available, generated in xml format and outputed my means of xsl (table format).
But I should not create this xml file on the server.
For xml generation I am using datareader.
Is it possible somehow to generate xml through response.write and set its content type to text/xml?
I have tried it but it shows me plain xml without xsl transformation.
Or, is there any other means to output xml without creation of a file on server?
Thank you beforehand... =)

|
|

hi,
that shouldn't be problem, use XslCompiledTransform Class[^] to apply xsl transformation on your xml, then write it using Response.Write .
