Have you searched CodeProject articles for round button? I quick search reveals several articles. Here's one[^].

Thanks,
That is where I started and I found one that I could import but I cannot put an image on it. I would like to learn to do it from scratch but I've followed some of the examples but have not successfully been able to create and use it. That is why I am asking for help.
Thanks for the Advice

OK, some comments
1 - if you're that new to C#, you probably need to spend some time learning the language, rather than trying to write an app you're going to want to use.
2 - if you've tried to write some code before asking ( good for you - many people don't bother ), then post it, so we can tell you where it's going wrong
3 - why do you need round buttons ?

Why do you "NEED" round buttons? Do they help arthritis, like copper bangle bracelets?

I have a solution with C# code in one project calling unmanaged C++, which is in a separate project. The C++ code uses cout <<. These lines of output come to the output window in the debugger. Can I redirect them to a file without changing the code? If so, how?
Thanks for any help.

Have you looked at System.Diagnostics.Process class? It has some methods on it for redirecting standard output.

I don't want to change code. I was thinking along the lines of how you would do it if running from a dos prompt/command line:
$ aprog.exe > outfile.txt
I tried putting " > outfile.txt" on the command parameters line in the debug properties of both projects, but this had no effect.

My datagrid has <asp:image id="image" imageurl="">
I have a solution using:
Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.doc"
Dim stringWrite As New System.IO.StringWriter
Dim htmlWrite As New System.Web.UI.HtmlTextWriter(stringWrite)
MyDatagrid.RenderControl(htmlWrite)

The problem is that my word file allways needs on-line for view the images.

But a vector is going to be an array ( although the standard doesn't say it has to be, the rules it defines pretty much mean it will be ).

hi.
i am building a chat server for a project i need.
i need to use a list view for the users who are connected to my server.
i can add them easylly using a string array but my problem is how to approach them afterwards??
like i want to make there user name as a key so if the user disconnects it will show up in the list view status column that i made as disconnected and not connected.
for that i need direct access to the actuall item.
so again my question is how to do that?
i would really apprechate your answers.
thanks alot

Hi, if u r still looking for answer about your question I have one, I have worked on something like this and I've used a database.mdb with a checkbox feild that specifies wether the user online or not, and this can help in viewing the users as online and offline in the list view, the code is something like the following:
<br />
Dim onlineusers As Integer<br />
Dim cnn As New OleDbConnection<br />
Dim da As OleDbDataReader<br />
Dim cmd As New OleDbCommand<br />
ListView1.Clear()cnn.ConnectionString= "Provider=Microsoft.JET.OLEDB.4.0;DATASOURCE=\\127.0.0.1\Messenger\chatdb.MDB"<br />
cnn.Open()<br />
cmd.Connection = cnn<br />
cmd.CommandText = "select nickname,online from users"<br />
da = cmd.ExecuteReader()<br />
Do While da.Read<br />
If da.GetValue(1) = "False" Then<br />
ListView1.Items.Add(da.GetValue(0), 2)<br />
Else<br />
ListView1.Items.Add(da.GetValue(0), 1)<br />
End If<br />
<br />
Loop<br />
cnn.Close()
in the previous code, the value 2 stands for the list item that represents offline user, and 1 for online user.

I am developing a windows application in notepad2
and the command prompt csc compiler.
I have successfully supressed the console window from
appearing by using the right command prompt switch.
How can I specify my application icon? When I look
at the exe file in windows explorer, it has the icon
of a dos prompt, as if it's a console app.
How can I use my own icon, say reallnice.ico, in this
app.
Mind you, NOT AS THE FORM ICON, BUT THE APPLICATION ICON
AS SEEN IN WINDOWS EXPLORER.
Thanks.

you want the /win32icon switch
all options to csc.exe can be seen by issuing the command "csc /?" at the DOS prompt.

I hate using Visual Studio, or any IDE for that matter.
They bloat the code, and pull in stupid things which I don't
need.
The only way to have complete control over EVERY NOOK and CRANNY
is to do things manually.
When I used to develop in Java, I never used an IDE. I built
some killer apps (Limewire like Network P2P) using notepad
and command prompt javac. That's it.
Personally, I feel there's nothing that can be done using
an IDE and not raw tools like a text editor and compiler.
In short, LOVE HANDCODING FROM SCRATCH!

wow...! when i first started C i did it with notepad and tc for a few months , and then when i learnt java i did it with javac for about a month but i would really take a hell lot of time and make a good amount of syntax errors! so i got IDE's a little later!
