Hi ,
I am Ravindra, presently working with DataGrid control.
I added a checkbox column to my Datagrid control and like to delete rows which are checked.
So please help , how to get a particular row when the datagrid checkbox is checked.
This is the code I implemented

This sounds like a good old ASP error in stead of an ASP.NET error...
It means your webserver does not know the FileSystemObject class (which is pretty strange though)
If you're using ASP.NET, you meight consider using the System.IO namespace for using the same functionality, if you ARE using ASP.NET, make sure you have the correct DLL (Which should be a scripting COM object or so, i don't know anymore, too long ago) and register is by typing regsvr32 in a command prompt followed by the filename

hi fraiends I am working in asp.net2.0 C#.I want to generate button click event from javascript.when i used normal page it works fine but when i took it in master page event is not fired.

I'm writing a custom web component in VB and Javascript, using VS 2003. I originally wrote the same thing as a user component, but didn't like the big gray box it displayed in the designer.
I'm going to use this component in a very populated webpage, and the big gray box would make it hard to align everything in the designer.
So now that I've almost finished the custom web component, when does it blosum into a component that looks like it will in the browser?
At the very least, how do I control the width of the "[cwcComboBox "cwcComboBox]" thing to reflect the actual width of the component I set using the properties panel, so I can put them on my web form and see where all of the components should actually go? I want the components to work in flow, which I concentrating on right now, and absolute positioning, too.

I thought of another possiblility, which I don't know if or how to do, but if the actual compoents I use to render my custome web component can't be displayed and the width of the [xxx "xxx"] stand-in for my component in the designer can't be control'ed, can my component render and alternative component in the designer. Basically, my component is a combobox, so if I can render a select list in the designer, that would work fine for me.

i am having a text file named ReleaseNotes.txt in my project folder. In my web page, am having a link called Download_Notes. If a user clicks the link, the file should download to the client machine.
How to perform this ?

create a hyperlink and set the navigateUrl property to the path of the file on the server
so when the client clicks on it it prompts download

This depends on what browser the client is using, or how his settings is. On my browser, IE6, it opens the textfile in the browser. A work around will be to ask the user to download by right-click on the URL and choose "save target as" option.

Hmm, not to sure how to do that, but I have a quick fix.
Make the link point to the txt file, and tell the client to right click and 'save as'.
EG:

Hi,
I need to included another aspx page in a panel on my 'parent' page. If the user clicks a button, it shows the other page inside a panel. The other aspx page is on another server. I can tricker the panel, but cant get the other page to show inside this panel. I used an IFRAME, but was told not to use that. How can I do this?

make an resx file for each language
in the name filed u fill it with the word that refers ur controls
"myEmployee" for example
and in the value field u fill the word that u want to appear "Employee" for example
In a seperate module u do the following:
import the system.resources
and u define a variable for each language
Public rm As ResourceManager
define a language variable and durection variable
Public cur_lang As String
Public cur_dir As String = "ltr"
Public Sub lang1()
If cur_lang = "English" Then
rm = New ResourceManager("projectName.English", System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly())
Else
rm = New ResourceManager("projectName.otherLanguage", System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly())

and lang2 sub for the other language
in the aspx.vb all u need is the following
u specify the language in the form load
lblEmployee.Text = rm.GetString("myEmployee")

i have a textbox need to input amount only, means only can accept digit or double and dot(.) for example, 12 or 12.32 , is it use regular expression validator or rang validator , and how to write the validation expression ?

hi
if you want the user to only enter numerals then you will habe to write your own control derving from textbox which only accepts number and the letters you want and will probably need clientside javascript code to prevent entering of other letters. there are free controls you can use. goto http://www.eworldui.net/[^] and you will find a numericbox cotrol that u can use, hope this helps

If you only want to validate the input eg "12", "12.32", "128.25", etc, etc...
You can use the Range validator, and set the Type to "Currency" and the operator to "DataTypeCheck"

But, the problem is what if i want the same to be worked with Windows applications. Is there any way the windows applications can make use of the http modules and http handlers.
