AJAX does a postback, so you'd do the same thing, just wrap your button in ATLAS stuff so it uses AJAX.

Graus i know ajax does post back, but it does not do complete post back of the web form, i just wanna post back only the part of the webform with newly created textboxes, which component in the toolkit i should use?

You would just add the textboxes to the controls collection, surely ? Add a control to act as a placeholder, and add the textboxes to it. If that doesn't work, then I don't know if you can do it ( at least, not with viewstate support, you can easily return the HTML to show textboxes and add it to the page using AJAX ).

Hi friend i'l tel u wat exactly is going on. i created aspx text boxes and buttons using code behind, as u said in a placeholder. and i know to create html textboxes and buttons using ajax dll ( using dynamic populate component), but i cannot wrap button click event for this dynamically created html button ( button1_serverclick) because dynamic populate only returns a string corresponds to html tag. if i could create button click event using dynamic populate, i wouldnt have gone for an alternate solution. but, i couldnt. thats why i am looking to create aspx buttons. hope u got the idea now.

Hi,
You said you done it in postback, then you can call code behind method (which have your control creation code) using ajax.
Search for AjaxPro dll file.

Hi there,....
I used one login page, there i'm getting username and password value and stored in session variable. I checked in web.config file, there it having 20 minutes, but i noticed, before 20 minutes, the session states become empty and showing error..... Not only that, also if i'm using that page continously it's showing error.
please help me...

Hello,
I'm Making a Site in Asp.net 1.1.I have Four Link in the Menu.
1. English
2. Germen
3. Spanish
4. Dutch
These are the Examples.
What i want when any user click on the partilcular Link then the whole site Should be convert in Particular Language.
Even the Dynamic Contents(Which are coming from the Database) Must be convert in the particular Language.
how can i do it, Any Suggestion plz.
When i try googling which i'm trying from since last 7 days i found the solution for .Net 2.0 framework not for 1.1
plz give suggestion to rid of this problem.

Hi,
Steps for converting a web page from one language to another.
1)Create a folder for our convenience purpose Eg: Resources
2)In that folder create 4 resource files -> Right click on resources -> add new item -> select resource file.
3)Take names for our convenience purpose Eg:projectname.en.resx,projectname.de.resx....
4)In that resx file there is key - value pair
Eg: keyname is name and the value is Name for english
keyname is name and the value is Dame for Germany ... etc.
here keyname should be same in all languages... ok
5)When language item is selected just u chanage the session as ....
Eg:
a) Session["culture"]="en";
b)
if(Convert.ToString(Session["culture"])=="en")
{

Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture=CultureInfo.CreateSpecificCulture("en");

Every page having different controls with different names thats why you have to write this code in every page.
I forgot you have to add some Namespaces
using System.Globalization;
using System.Threading;
using System.Reflection;
using System.Resources;
If you use oops concepts that helps you.

Only one way I know, we have to write that code in every page.. thats why I said use oops concept that helps a little.
When I developed my project I got same doubts what you got now. I searched a lot and asked many people they said only this.... what I said to you.

Hi friends,
I developed a web application using ASP.Net + C#.Net + Sql Server2000.
For this I used 1.1 version. It is working perfectly in this version. Now I want to change this application to 2.0........
I changed the application to 2.0 using 2005 DotNet Visual Studio. But it is not working b'cos some files in my application changing it's path.
**** I developed application in two languages English and German. For this I used satilite assemblies using resource files (.resx). I put these files in Resources Folder and filenames are prm.en.resx & prm.de.resx.
Here my project name is prm, Resources is a folder and PRM is file base name.
ResourceManager rm =new ResourceManager("prm.Resources.PRM",Assembly.Load("prm");
This code is working fine in 1.1 version.
When application is converted to 2.0 then resource files are resides at another folder - app_GlobalResources folder that is DotNet 2005 rule to keep resource files in that folder.
My Error is : Resource path not found
I changed the path ....... and tried but still iam getting same error.

Hi
I am really stuck with this one.
I have got a treeview control in a Master page.
When I click on a node, it gets transferred to another page via NavigateURL. The other page (navigated to) also uses the same master page. However, I lose the selected node highlight as its a new page and viewstate does not help.
I tried to store the selected node in session and set it on page_load of Master, content, page_init of Master and content - all these approaches return null reference when I try to get a handle to the treeview.
I tried FindControl (straight& recursive) while doing the above.
I am still not successful. From user's point of view this seems to be a straight forward requirement, I was surprised to find it technically challenging (to me at least  )
Can somebody please help?

Hi,
I have a money field in my database.
I retrieve the value from a sql server 2005 db, using GetSQLMoney() in asp.net
I bind this to an object, like objPanelMem.GetSQLMoney(10)
The problem is, now I retrieve the currency EG "235.6800". I would only like to retrieve the currency as "235.68". How can I do this?

The way we create simple reports on crystal reports (vb.net, Access/Sql)on local machine, is is possible to get same kind of report on online system while accessing web server rather then local server??

AFAIK, the alignment will be relative to the parent of the text. So if the label is inside a table, set the column's alignment, if its inside a div, set its alignment and so on...
For runtime behaviour you might need to use some DHTML.
I may also be completely wrong since today does not seem to be a bright day for me.

You can use onitemdatabound event of the datagrid to perform this task(if you want to put new page to go synamically) or there in the html part also you can give the page to navigate if it is there in the database and you don't have to perform any operation on that.
Also Here[^] you can get so many examples on datagrid.

I think you're nuts.
If anything, code behind will be faster, but as it's precompiled, I expect it's the same. The only difference is that inline code is an unmaintainable mess.

Regardless, you can't make decisions like in-line vs code-behind based on performance reasons. "Make it right, then make it fast."

hi..
I have built an application in IE6 ... but when viewed in IE7, it looks in distorted manner ... eg : textBox overlap with each other , table borders are not visible, AJAX controls are not visible(search comboBox)...
please provide the solution to make application compatible in IE7 browser...
