I think its quite easy to use the TAO OpenGL framework.
The installation provides libaries enabling c# for OpenGL. The installation comes with the NeHe examples.
Just don't know where it works for .net3

Depends on what you are doing:
WPF: Individual nodes can be disabled, so no problem.
WinForm: Handle the events on the tree - so if your node is selected, deselect it again (this probably won't be pretty to look at - in the Form or in the code, but that is the price you pay when using an obsolete GUI)
ASP.NET: You might pull something off client side, but I do not know how to do it - and if it is possible.

Ok my database sheme I use is XML, i am trying to populate the data in a treeview control but it gives me unhappy results.
Would it be easier or better by using an Access database rather than XML?
ok ine more question sorry, i have seen many times before a couple of application that store information in a file where they have their own extension. for example storing information in a file database like databse1.dat or smth. How do people do this or is this not C# at all?

If you use the System.IO namespace to writ binary data, you can write any byte sequence you want, and call it whatever you like.
I doubt that moving to Access will, by itself, change how the tree control behaves.

ok im using a binary file now to store my data and it writes perfect. but i have a problem with reading the data.
basically every line in the dat file is one record. how can i read only a specific line and retrieve those values?
Is it possible to populate a treeview control from a .dat binary file?

You could tag the line with some string that you are pretty sure will be unique and then process the file line by line looking for that unique string. When it finds the line, parse the line into whatever format you require.

that wouldnt work really because i use a binary file not a text file so you cannot process line by line.
i have changed my mind am gonna stick with xml its alot better

It shouldn't matter whether the file is binary or not. When you read the file into memory it has to be parsed into a non-binary format in order for it's elements to be used by the program that is reading it.

It didn't work when i used the System.Diagnostics.Process.Start("IExplorer", "http://www.paologios.com") but it did work when i used System.Diagnostics.Process.Start("http://www.paologios.com") and it uses the default browser.

Never assume that the user is using a specific browser. Just open the url, and the default browser will open it.

hello every one !!
i have one problem i need to write a windows service that creates a folder and then on that folder i have a filesystem wathcher class to see if the file is created if created then move a file to remote computer. when i had hardcoded the folder to find file like c:/myfolder then i implemenetd filesystemwathcher on myfolder it worked fine now i have a case where i need to create a folder i.e my folder so that i can implement a file system watcher on any folder that is created on runtime.
to be short and precise i just want to create a folder(directory) by windows service not windows application.
any help would be greatly aprrecaited. happy windows servicing

If you run the service as user "LocalSystem", there a number of things you cannot do, by default (e.g., access a disk that is mounted as a network disk). The reason I mentioned default is because if you modify the default system policies you might overcome a number of these limitations.
You could run the service as an Administrator user. Then you would have access to doing pretty much anything you want.

but the problem with these functions is that it create multiple data of the that image

It creates a copy, yes. You can also set a rotate transform on your Graphics object, and so render the bitmap rotated, without ever rotating it.

You want to render text that is rotated on an image ? Well, you just need to set the rotation and translation on the graphics object, and you can draw your text that way.
