Hey all! ive been using ASP Ajax Beta 2 now for a few days and its already driving me crazy!!!
First of all, ill be happily dragging controls onto the my design view (scriptmanager, updatepanel, progress and so on) and it all looks good...
I switch to source view and all my ajax controls have the "red line of doom" and my error list says things like:
Error 20 Element 'ScriptManager' is not a known element. This can occur if there is a compilation error in the Web site.....
Switch back to Design view and it renders ok and builds propperly! And the other problem ive noticed is if i change any properties in design view of any control, and switch back to Source view it has screwed all the markup code up! It does things like put all the code on one line and make it very difficult to work with and i have to tab it all out again!
Does anyone know why its doing this and any solutions?

Hi Guys,
I wrote an image httphandler that works 60% of the time.
I'm trying to render 10 images on 1 page... ex. MyImage.aspx?id=1 , MyImage.aspx?id=2 etc.
Every now and again (when I'm lucky) all 10 images load, other times only 6 or 5 or some random number of images load.
The ProcessRequest method executes the same amount of random times. 
Is there some setting which I should change in the web.config to handle a few simultaneous requests??
Or whats going on??

Hi friends,
I have to upload and download .txt or .doc file on server.
I uploaded files properly.
But when downloading files, if file is .doc file then it get downloaded correctly,and if I download .txt file that saved .txt file containing some html code.
If I cheched it on server directly it is showing .txt without html code.
This is my code for download.
Response.Clear()
Response.ContentType = "application/octet-stream"
Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", _

Why this is so.

To set your connection option to bypass proxy for local addresses
1. In the Tools menu, select Options.
2. Under the Projects node, select Web Settings.
3. Click Connection Settings in the Options dialog box.
4. In the Internet Properties dialog box, select the Connections tab and click LAN Settings.
5. In the LAN Settings dialog box, select Bypass proxy server for local addresses.
6. Click OK to close all open dialog boxes.

i have a aspx page with many record and a button, while user click the button, a SaveAS window will pop up and ask user when to save the file (save the record to a text file) ? how to make this SaveAs window pop up ?

Thanks. How is the step to save this resume.doc? inside the save function , which step do first ? call this Response.AddHeader("content-disposition","attachment;filename=resume.doc"); first ? then only write the data into the resume.doc? and where to put the temporary file before user can save the file ? if you don't understand what i am saying , can u provide the step for me how to this save file function ? thanks !!

you can either do it all client side and use the onblur event on A and B to call a function that checks both A an B for values and if they have values fills C with their sum or you can do it clientside using the autopostback="true" and then using the OnTextChanged event to make the same operations.

you can use javscript function when you are setting focus to your third textbox.

Hi everyone,
i am using one RAD datepicker control in one of the step of asp:wizard control.
My problem is that when i am running the page with step where i have put RAD control ,it works fine, but as i am running the previous step and then if i move on to next step ,one javascript error is fired saying "RAD Datepicker control is undefined".
although other RAD control like DateInput control is working in both the situation.
my asp:wizard control is on .ascx User control.
Any solutions ?

hi
guys i am implementing the customized http handler for a particular page, there are some controls on that page ,when the request for that particular page is made then that particular http handler is invoked but the controls on that page are not visible, this also happens the same if there is no code in process request method of httphandler class, can any one let me know wht's the problem,thankx in advance.
