i posted about how to pass my parameter to Crystalreports and a person reply to me by this code :
crystalReport11.SetDataSource(MyDataSet);
crystalReport11.SetParameterValue("PrintDate1", "2006/05/07"); // this line that error occured
crystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = crystalReport11;
but the following error shown me :
Invalid index. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8002000B (DISP_E_BADINDEX))
how to solve my problem and pass my parameter to crystalreports ?

Hello,
I'm a newbie in computer programming.
I'm looking for a program help me to change file attributes(Created time,Modified time and last access) like FileDate By T.YogaRamanan.

But I want to ignore its user interface.(No Dialog box , No Text box)
I want to choose file as coding and change file attribute as coding too.

Take a look at the FileInfo class and especially its properties CreationTime, LastAccessTime and LastWriteTime.

I'm writing a managed COM plugin, and would like to catch all exceptions the control throws.
Since there are over 15.000 lines of code, and numerous places that can throw exceptions, I would like to set a boolean whether exceptions should be swallowed (in that final unhandled exception function) or thrown. So that all exceptions seeple down to only one exception which I can either throw or swallow.

i have a problem i don't know how to handle.
it is not easy to explain so feel free to ask me more details..
my main program runs in the backround with notifyIcon.
i have an extra class which is a form of notification (like msn notification message).
the program should run on the background and pop up the small MSN-like form on the buttom of the screen.
i want the user to type in any window and on some case i show the notification message.
at first run of the programm(the user didnt choose items on the small notification message so from some reason it works in the beginning), the user is typing in notepad(just an example) and when i want , i pop up the small window.. if the user don't care about it he continue to type on the notepad without loosing the focus to the noification message.
the first time that the user select an item (listbox) on the message notification, then everything changes:
when he types on the notepad and i popup the message notification, the focus changes to the message notification form, but i want him to keep staying focused on the notepad.
what can i do?
please help.

I believe the message you get when your app gets focus gives you the HWND of the app that lost focus, so you can just bounce the focus back.

1. it's the required work-around but how can i disable that?
can i disable focsu from my application at all?
2. if not, then which event should i listen to? cause i have main form (not visible) and the notification form . so to which one?
3. can i listen to Application/Process gotFocus event?

Hi all
if it intrests anyone..
the notification message that i was talking about was set with TopMost=true
this cause auto activation and force to get focus.
thats why it got some last focus.
why i did is overided the property ShowWithoutActivation
and everything start to work.

Open the properties of your VS project, select the second tab called build or similar (its named Erstellen in my german VS), scroll down to the output section and specify a path for the XML documentation file.

You need to provide more information before we can help you. What is SecondaryBuffer? What exception do you get when reading?

I used Managed DirectX, and use SecondaryBuffer in DirectSound namespace.
I think (maybe) it caused by start read position and length parameter that I pass in SecondaryBuffer.Read method.
Any resource on Web about this?

Hi Guys,
In C# Is there any way to find a date (paterns: 01/11/2005, 1/2/06, etc) in a string or text file?
eg:
string transcation = "Transaction initiated on 3/5/2005 and approved on 12/09/2006";
Now i need to extract the dates from this string, no prior knowledge of what the string contains & the date format could be different.

Check out the System.Text.RegularExpression.Regex class. You can use regular expressions to find date patterns. For more information, see this article[^].

As Judah said, you can use a regular expression.
You have to decide what date formats you will accept, as there is no way that you can extinguish any possible date format.
For example a string like "Our quest began in the third day in the fourth month in the year of the lord 1623." is clearly a reference to an exact date, but it's rather hard to write a program that will recognise it.

I've written a few programs and have never come accross this before:

When startupCheckValue returns false, the program executes this.Close as well as Application.Exit but it just keeps going!
I've stepped through it and can't see why the app doesn't exit 
Help please!
