Hi friends,
Is there any way to lock ur computer with asp.net????
I mean ...i want the computer of client to be locked if he is idle for some 10 minutes...am not asking about sessions....i want the whole computer should be locked....can any of you great .net programmers solve this problem??....plz give me a way....its very urgent and it will be really a great help for me....plz once again and thanks in advance....

Its called screen saver.
If you really for some strange reason want to implement this logic in your web app (I pray its intranet), you will need to set up browser to some insanely insecure level, and use ActiveX or similar component (on client of course!) accessing system functions. Really bad idea IMO.

I am trying to write a image viewing control that runs partly on the server. The server side is designed to more easily facilitate creating asp pages in VS designer, and also grab the needed image from the secure image server, and then download it with a client side control and page to the client. The client side control does most of the viewing/zooming/etc... on the client side to reduce post backs. I cannot seem to get the server to reliably download the '.dll' containing the client side part of the control. I am using .NET 2.0/Visual Studio 2005/C# and am trying to call the client side control using the usual <object> tag. I am using the server control's RenderContents() to generate the "<object>" tag in the client page. My current theory is that, this is not interpreted until the page actually runs on the client side, and by then is too late. If this is the case, is there some other server side mechanism that could be used to do this? I am also not exactly sure where it might put the control when it downloads. Will it go to a bin directory in the user side cache, or somewhere else?

How to maintain state Session state / View state / Cache.
Basic Object Oriented programming such as inheritance, abstraction,
encapsulation.
What ispostback is used for.
Server validation / client validation.
ADO.Net E.G. Disconnected data, dataset, dataread, datatable
Common controls and what they are used for
E.G. DataReapter, DataGrid, ListControls
Basic security models Forms / Widnows
How the web.config file is used.

I have a master/detail set of grids. on the detail(bound), all the data is visable and editable through the tempplate(Each bound column is a textbox in the template). When a user edits and leaves one of the cells, I want the grid to update. I cannot seem to find the call to get control of the system when the cell is left.
(think of it like excel, where a calulate is down after the cell is left).

I'm trying to display a binary image on a webpage by using the following code however the actual binary data is displaying on the screen, not the actual image:

How can I display the actual image on the screen?
Also, this image is not the only item on the webpage. The entire page contains a bunch of different data, so I don't know if using Response.ContentType("image/jpeg") is a viable option either (since wouldn't that force the page to just display the image and nothing else?).

The image date is not sent in the html document. You place an image tag on the page, and the browser requests the image file separately.

Hi
I need to fade certain controls into my aspx page on the pageload e.g. asp textboxes and labels. Obviously the fading needs to work on all browsers. I have tried searching for some sort of javascript to do this, but I havn't found anything yet. Does anyone know how to do this?

I upgraded to internet explorer 7 and discovered that the visual studio 2005 script debugger doesn't seem to work with it at all, I can't set a breakpoint in embedded jscript on the page, where I used to be able to. I just get the "this is not a valid location for a breakpoint" error.
I've done a search and only found reports of it not working in vs 2003 so I'm wondering if this should work or if there is a work around or...?

Through F9 I guess? The lil red dot? I've never been able to get this to work, but adding a debugger; statement does with IE6 - how bout with IE7? (and hoping it does - was JUST about to upgrade, but if I can't debug js then NO DICE!!!)

Hello,
I have a function which is transforming a XML file into another XML file using a XSL file.
Function GetXML()

Instead of displaying, in the browser, the resulting XML I want to return it so I can display it later in the browser as a XML document.
How can I do this?

which amount memory used the Server to save the var onto Ram Memory
Exactly 10 Bytes?, an default memory amount for small var (Ex, 1 Kb)
