There are a few approaches you can take:
One is using Javascript (I haven't tried it)
Another is creating a table and an indenting structure to represent a heirarchy. IDing those rows, you can toggle visibility on and off from code behind.
Last approach is.. try looking up Tree View.

Hello,
How can I encrypt web config section which is outside web.config file?
E.g.
<connectionStrings configSource="ConfigFiles\connectionStrings.config"/>
If I use
aspnet_regiis -pef "connectionStrings" "FilePath" -prov "MyProvider",
It does encrypt if the section is there inside web.config, but if the section is outside web.config, how can we encrypt that. Is there some way we can achieve this?

Hi,
I have a dropdown list which has data bound to it from a User Table. The DropDownList currently displays the Surname of the user.
I would like it to display the Forename AND the Surname. Any ideas?

You can get the desired full name from the database itself by combining the two..

Solved it in the following way;
Using this query : "SELECT inUserID, Surname + ', ' + Forename AS ForenameANDSurname FROM tblUser"
Set the following :
Me.ddlDropDownList.DataTextField = "ForenameANDSurname"
and Finally set the DataTextField attribute in the DropDownList WebControl to "ForenameANDSurname" as well.
Did the trick.

here i have a problem that ,i want to set some (x,y) value for each pixels for an image.when i am giving the input (x,y) values ,the program should find the exact (x,y) values in the image and set some small mark there.for this-
1)how to set values for each pixels?
2)what is the code for finding exact position in the image ,when i am inputting the cordinate values?
3)how to differentiate pixel colors in asp.net?
for all this i am using asp.net with c#.

i want to get the contains of XML file into Html tag.the summary is tht i develop a template site whn user filled his/her detail into asp.net web page and submit them thn a web page is ready for the user according to his/her detail as well as store into sql server 2005. thn i think we store his detail into database and create a xml file according to his detail.after tht i want to get these detail into html page bcoz we give tht web page copy to the user.

you can use xml control to do this. the xml control has two properties
document src file--->you have to give the xml file here
transporm source file ---- give xslt file here

In a web service we have a web method
[webmethod]<br />
public Myresponse SendTransaction(MyRequest req)
Here MyRequest and MyResponse classes are inherited from MyMessage class.
When we view the asmx file
http://localhost/DemoServiceExtended/DemoService.asmx?op=SendTransaction
The sample SOAP request and response xml does not list the public Fields in base class(MyMessage).
How to make the base class fields available in listed XML.
