Some people do fly to work. When I was young, my father flew to his job on Monday and flew back on Friday. We only saw him on the weekends.

I normally go by our work bus. But again quite normally, I miss the bus once in a while. This forces me to catch an autorickshaw to work. Work place is out of the city, so there is quite some travelling involved. About 25 KM away, half of which is through heavy traffic and 25% of which is through rough untarred muddy roads. Yuck, you say eh? But that's India

I was thinking of other methods that weren't listed (hence the 'Other box' but I'll admit I completely missed Autorickshaws

That would make the North Indians happy. Specially the Bengalis. They love their autorickshaws. But the worst autorickshaw drives are in Madras. They con you of 100s of rupees. They did that to me anyway

Autorickshaws are the equvalent of taxi-cabs of the other cities.Most of the Indian cities like Hyderabad(where i come from) and Trivandrum(Nish's place) and Madras the popular mode of transport apart from buses are these ubiquitous autorickshaws

I doubt that I'd encounter much traffic on the golf course, Nish. And if the back seat is occupied by a cooler full of barley pop I won't notice what little there is

Can you buy one for me too, Chris? Because when I came here there were no posts. I waited for someone to post a first post so that my typecast-first-post thing is avoided. Then after CG's post I posted my post about autorickshaws. It took quite a bit of effort to do that. But I managed to do it
I'd like a couple of beers and some nice Aussie food. I am a very light eater, so I can't eat much. Or maybe instead of beer, we can have some gin-cocktails with lime. They are nicer to taste.

Uh oh! In my enthusiasm, I must say that I ignored this slight difficulty. I mean I didn't remember that you are at the bottom of the earth, while I am somewhere in the upper middle. This is a major hiccup in plan, I tell ya, a major hiccup indeed. Oh well! The tomorrow I seek may not be near, but it's not too far either. And when it arrives, it's gonna be a big one. The day won't be far when I wake up in New York, have breakfast in London, code from Trivandrum, lunch from Singapore, take an afternoon nap in Sydney, have tea with Colin and family in NZ, go for a swim in Hawaii, have dinner from Canada with David C, just outside the CP server, and go to sleep in a luxury boat in the persian gulf.
