Hello,
I have developed a set of web controls that can be used in our content management system. Each control has a display and edit mode. While in edit mode the user can add text to the label control or select a picture to display in the image control...etc. When in display mode the text and image are simply displayed to the visitor of the site. A general CMS in short.
However i created the controls so that the display mode is rendered by a control inherited from a base control. Thereby it is possible to have the same content rendered differently based upon environment settings (parter site X or Y, ...). The environment determines which control is used in display mode.
The next step (and the problem) is that i want to be able to develop new display controls or update existing controls and put them online without restarting the application.
Dropping a new DLL in the bin folder induces an application restart.
An alternative is loading the new dll in a different application domain, but i presume this comes with a significant performance hit (excessive marchalling).
Anyone an idea on how to proceed ?

I tried that
I created a page and wrote those things in the Page_Load Event and its throwing up an error. Am i doing some thing wrong.

I am using the ASP.Net secuirty framework and all of well but for portability I would like to use an Acccess DB but only SQL is listed.
I have found an Access Provider for C but as I an very new to much of this I am looking for a VB.Net version.
Can anyone please point me to some info on this, or explain how to add an Access Provider.

Hi
I want to count my website online visitors . then I used these codes and set the < sessionState > element mode to "InProc" in web.config. but when a user exits from site the counter dosent decrease !!!! in fact the event Session_End doesnt raise!!!! plz help me!

Hi,
I am Binding a DataTable with a GridView control. This DataTable contains four DataColumn values (all are string type). So, in my GridView each row is displayed as FOUR columns.(ie)One Column for each DataColumn.
But i wish to display all the FOUR DataColumn values in a Single Column (Cell) of a Data Row in the GridView.
In this, i need to bind all the Four DataColumn values in a Single Cell's four server controls (like Label control,etc.)
How can i achieve this?

It works fine with me. But my Requirement is that, i wish to Convert each three rows of GridView data into Single row. ie the DataRow in the GridView control is supposed to Display within a Single Cell of GridView.
(ie)Each Three row's Datas are need to Display in a Single Row with Three Columns. In this, every column in the GridView having the Same set of Server controls to Display the data from DataTable.
Have u understand my requrement? Thank u a lot...

Hi Todd,
For me, Item property of the DataRowView 'drv' doesnot exist. I dont know the reason, why it is not show me? ( ie drv.Item)
Hence i am not familiar using DataRowView Class, now i am in learning process. I ll get back to you soon. Thanks for your interest with me.

I new to asp.net 2.
I have a question I hope you’ll answer me.
I need to know if I can use (sql express and ASP.net configuration tools) to build a real web site. And if this is Secure.
Them problem is that I create a website and configure security for some pages. They run smoothly and I can login using login.asp page.
But the problem I can’t login using IIS.
I create a virtual directory in IIS for the project. I can access the unrestricted pages using internet explorer.
But, the problem is that when I want to access to the restricted area by using internet explorer I had the following message. And the login.asp page did not appear.
[SqlException (0x80131904): Cannot open user default database. Login failed.
Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE'.]

Hi
SQL Express is configured by default to allow only local connections using windows authentication. From what that looks is that the IIS is running under an user that the SQL Server does not accept.
While I'm no IIS/SQL Server expert, and thus can not really help you to configure them to work like that, what I suggest is that you setup SQL Server to allow both Windows Authentication and SQL Server.
Using the SQL Server Management Studio (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=C243A5AE-4BD1-4E3D-94B8-5A0F62BF7796&displaylang=en) log in to the server and under the server's "Properties" choose Security and select "SQL Server and Windows Authentication". Then create a user and password with access to your database (in your database "Security" -> "Logins" -> Right click -> "New Login...") and adjust your connection string to use this login, for example:
"server=Earthquake\\SqlExpress; user id=UserName; password=Password; database=Database"
This should allow you to use both SQL Express for the final site.

Dear Friends,
I have one GridView Control in my .aspx page with C#. I have last field as Status field which is boolean and is bound as checkbox control. Could you please show how can I se wether the user has checked it or uncheked it according to that I want to change the status of all customers record. if the checkbox is checked means the status is trus and i want update his status in the database through gridcontrol. I want to check all the record at one time. Even if possible I would like to give "Select all records" and "Deselect all Records" option also. Your quick response will be highly appreciated.
