hi,
I am having an application with two buttons.
There is two files in (.txt, .doc) my virtual folder.
On click of one button it should open txt file in its original format.
On click of second button it should open doc file in original format.

Why don't you just link to the files? Then the browser will choose the correct way to open them.

ok fine ,but it's opening in browser.i what to open it on actual formate(like if it a .txt it should open a test file not in browser)

The following will start the program that is associated with the type of file being opened.
i.e. if it's a .txt file it should open notepad or a similar text editor.
If it's a .doc file it should open Windows Word.

We can change the content type to open a file, This code will open document:
Response.Clear();
Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=" +

Response.WriteFile(sFullFilePath);

I am faced with the task of developing a Digital Dashboard for the Corporation which I work for. I need to purchase a visual took that will present my data. So far I have viewed Dundas and Chart FX.

Anyone have a preference over the other? Another question I have is what is Reporting Services, is that an add-on tool for SQL Server?

Any feedback is appreciated.

I haven't used ChartFX. I have used Dundas chart and find it does a good job creating nice looking data-driven charts.

hi,
I am having an application with 10 text boxes and 2 buttons. I what to put all this items into on box so that I can close or open that box what ever I need, like search options in windows XP (on click of down arrow it will open the box contains advanced search options and on click of up arrow it will close the box).what want to implement this in C#.ASP .net. Is any one knows about it.

It's possible to do using ASP.NET, but it would be better if you used client script, e.g. Javascript, so that you don't have to reload the page to show/hide the extra options.
