Not sure, I understand you clearly, but from my understanding,
you should define your submenu in a separate div, and giv that div a bigger z-index than the one of the menu's div

sir,
Which class should be imported to get the Register Startup Script .
It is there in system.web.ui.page
are you getting any compile time error?

Sir,
There is no error
But when i write page.
Then the Register Startup Script is not comming.
In .net 2.0 it's under Page.ClientScript.Registerclient... etc.
Use this to put the client side script:
Page.RegisterClientScriptBlock

I am having a situation in my project where I want to enable my save button only if user edit any of the control in a page(There are many controls in the page).

If you want to do it client side then one way could be you can all the initial data in array and can compare prior to go to the server.

Hi Apurva Kaushal,
Thanks a lot for the quick response and information.
Can you please provide me some code snippet as an example.This would help me.
Thanks again,
RPM.

You can use hiddenfield to store the data and in javascript you can compare with the current value and do the operations.

I'm having a bit of a reocuring problem that I just cant seem to get my head round.
I want the output of an SQL query to be placed into an XMLDocument (for use as a source for an ASP.NET XML tool).
At the moment my SQL query outputs using: FOR XML AUTO, ELEMENTS
But I dont really have any experiance using the XMLDocument and was wondering how I should go about getting the output from the SQL query into the XMLDocument??
Is there a simple way of just "shoving" it in there or is it an intricate element by element process ?
Thanks.

If you are in the itemCommand event of the gridView, then you can check for the correct item command like so:
if (e.ItemCommand == "Add User")
{
}
and then the current row should be e.Item .

Hi,
Actually I want to create a folder on client's computer and save an Excel file into that folder when the user clicks on save button. Is it possible to achieve this using ASP .Net 2.0
Right now when I create a folder at location "C:\folder1", it creates a folder on the Web server.
Plz help me if u can...
As far as I am aware ASP.NET is server side only meaning you cant do this kind of thing on a clients computer by ASP.NET alone... imagine the security problems if you could!
You may need to install software on the cleints computer and launch it via ASP.NET (I think there is a tutorial on Codeproject for doing this) or use somthing like JavaScript (though not sure even that is possible.. becuase, again, its a big security issue)

i also want to create folder in client computer. how i can create? about which tutorial of code proj. u are telling?
pls help me.

red wizard is right. You can't do this just with ASP.net. Your best bet would be to just let the user download the file and save it wherever they like.

have a webform and I want to create a hyperlink to a text file, so that it
opens on internet explorer in a new window.
I have added the following

Hi kamalnath,
I think you are using the physical path of the file. Try changing the URL to ---
http://localhost/<ur web="" app="" name="">/Test.txt
Hope this works !
