can i have something tat will help me identifying client revisiting my Website other ten using Cookies or IP tracking?
as MAC address is the only thing I can find unique in the system which will help me tracking the client?
can i have something,like .. can I install DLL/ActiveX installed at Client side which will get client machins MAC address??

AFAIK, Active X control requires client permission before being allowed to be installed. It is not automatic due to security issues.

you could do it with an ActiveX... but I dont think that anyone would accept it...
unless you are talking about an Intranet where clients could install an ActiveX

I know this is too late to reply.. but I got solution for this..
using of Hta (Hypertext Application) you can write asp code to grab the MAC address as it runs on client machine as Application.

There are almost a limitless number of file formats out there and to do what you want would require a limitless amount of time because as you progress you will find that various ingenious people will come up with even more file formats.
I think you need to add in some constraints into your specification. You need to list excactly what file formats you really need to convert and concentrate on them.
By the way, if you do find a way of converting an MP3 to PDF I'd love to know!

By 'any' do you mean 'most/all printable files' . Then maybe there are ways.
For MS Office documents you can use many of commercially avaliable tools or convert them to postscript first and then use a program like Ghostscript to get PDF. A nice program that does this is PDFCreator.
For documents like Reports XML-FOP might be a good option.
To author PDF documents , you can use the iTextSharp library.
But I dont think there is a 'single' tool that can convert all printable file formats to PDF  For example if you have to convert word document to PDF or an excel sheet , then you MOST PROBABLY (99.99%  ) will have to have MS Office installed onto your system. It will convert it to postscript and use tool like Distiller to conver it to PDF.

I am currently working on a project where I need to encrypt the query string parameters to hide the details from the user. However, everywhere this parameters are used, I must encrypt on the calling page, and then decrypt on the page being called.
I was wondering if there is a way to do this transparently so that I don't have to do these steps for all pages?
I know this can be done using an HTTP module in .NET but is there a way to do this in classic ASP....?

Hi All,
I have some problem about display of page.
we are using master-content pages.Master page consists of contentPlaceholder.
In the actual content pages, we are using couple of Div tags, first div tag consists of search Criteria, next one holds search results consisting of repeater control etc. these div tags are side by side.
when we run the pages, second div tag(search results), is overlapping into search criteria tag. can some one help me how to come out of this?

I developed web site using php,
and I published my site files on a web server.
all my pages are .php,every page include a footer.inc and header.inc files.
and i try to make google and others see my site using meta tags,
i tried with puting meta tags in headee.inc file, but i notice that google
didnt see my site.
how can i make search engines define my site

Iam generating some dynamic text fields on a page with readonly properties.
what I want is if i double click that dynamic text field, i want to show an alert.
