Hello!
I am writing a code in VBScript. My language is Farsi.Whenever I write something in the fields of my DB(SQL Server 2000) directly, it is written in Farsi, but when I want to insert through my code, it is written as ???? and so I retrieve it as ????.Do you have any suggestions to solve this problem? I'd appreciate it.

you moust use Ntext or nvarchar fied type for it
and for inserting ,use n'farsi message...' in you sql code
.

Hi
I am devoloping an windows application. In the main window user can see different images. When the user clicks on the "send Mail" button the active image needs to send as email to the user. But it is not send straight away, the image is attached to the email and it should be shown in the default email client waiting for user to enter the email id. I had implemented it with MSMAPI but we need this in dotnetway. (64bit because MSMAPI is 32 bit.) I tried using the following

but i was not able to attach the image to this email message. but i can see the outlook client with body and subject.
Please help me out in this issue as soon as possible

Hi All,
I am using access database and vb 6.0 in my application.
I want to store image/excel file for this purpose i decide to use OLE object datatype of access.But could not get sample code for my purpose.
If anyone know any link please pass to me.

It's been a long time since i stop using my vb6.
Now i'm using vb2005.
You can store many kind of file into your OLE object field.
THe concept is:
First, you need to read all bytes of your file and put it into an array of bytes.
Last, then you can store this array into your OLE Object. Simple isn't it?
In VB2005 you can do this with a line of code:

'It will return array of bytes.
Public Function GetByteArrayFromFile(ByVal FileName As String) As Byte()
Return File.ReadAllBytes(FileName)
End Function
'It will make the file form array of bytes.

File.WriteAllBytes(FileName, ByteStream)
End Sub
End Class

You need to make the routine to retrieve and store the data by your own.
I believe you can do that.

I can display my barcode in my crystal report successfully when i run at crystal report v by using code 128 font.
Unfurtunately, when i want to hook my crystal report in VB.NET form with CRViewer30.CRViewer. The barcode became a string of characters...
Isn't i need to define the code 128 font in my VB.NET form even the barcode can display properly in my crystal report..
Any idea about it?

But the link of sample application that you give me just now only can use for barcode font Code 3 of 9 and can't support Code 128..
I'm searching solution for barcode font Code 128.

I see no sign of that. where have you looked ? Did you try google ? Did you search this site ? There are plenty of other barcode articles here, although that was the first one I saw in VB, plenty are in C#.

yup, i also go through all VB.NET about barcode in CodeProject. Non of them are using barcode font 128...
So i can't apply those sample code in my application. I had try google, but still haven't found any solution for my problem

Try Fontware. I have used them in the past for barcode solutions, including EAN128.

Hi there,
I'm using Vb 6.0 & MS access.(database connection using adodc)
I trying to use Login userid and password.
I already created the table in MS access and Forms in vb 6.0. Now i want to connect to database and as well as check the userid & password in the database. once the userid & password correct then the program will allow the user to proceed otherwise can't proceed.
pls help me to get some sample programs.

Hey, i am writing a program that downloads a web document and shows it in a richtextbox, in my case the code for a html web page. so far i have go the code to load into a richtextbox with an internet traffic control, but i need all the hyperlinks to be listed in another richtextbox, treeview , or something else.

Hi,
I have to write a program that uses a webcam to capture an image of a barcode, then translate it to numbers then search these numbers in a database and update the time that the barcode is imaged.
I'm not a profesional programmer, I think of some ways, but I think all of them lacks something, my biggest problem is I can't find a way to capture & import the image from webcam to my program, can anyone please help me with a code or someway that I can do this task, & I think I saw a barcode translation code somewhere, can anyone please help me with it, tell me if there is any SDKs or codes that do this thing.
I'm totally out of ideas, so if someone can be so kind & give me any ideas I would be very thankful, I use VB.net for writing my code.

Only in the VB.NET forum....
There is an article on reading barcodes on CP, I thought, in C#. You can use DirectShow to get the video from the webcam, there are CP articles on this, also. Either way, I would not have thought a web cam was the ideal device for reading barcodes. Tell your boss to buy a barcode scanner, they deliver the barcode as a number to your code, and they don't cost that much.

Hi there,
I have a bit of a stupid question but I just dont know how to solve it, so here goes:
I am currently busy with an application that uses tree view to traverse between screens, and at the moment I have a form for each screen.
Only the panel part of the screen changes when the user navigates so I want to change my solution to refresh the panel with the appropriate one when the user navigates.
How would I go about doing this?

Yes you need to write out HTML and don't forget to set the body format to HTML. Then use a div tag or table tag and set the style property.
