Hey, I just came across this strange prototype.
This is really weird.

void comm_perror(int error, char *format, ...)

Does anyone have a clue to what the ... parameter is suppose to mean.

This is actually a real function in one of the source codes I was reviewing

If anyone has an answer to this question please keep me posted

It allows you have Variable Arguments, like with printf, etc.

So, do you want to tell us which problems?

If all you want is sin, then just use math.h

In Math libarary there only function like cos,sin,tan... if you like more math function... you might try matlabs or boost library

Serialize CListCtrl

Any chance any one has an sample project where data from a CListCtrl
is stored and retrieved? I just cant get my own sample project to
work correctly and if I could see something work, then I could try
to mimic those features in my own program.

Please, any response any one can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Hi I would like to know clearly about the date formating of CTime class.
_T("%b %d, %Y %I:%M:%S %p")
Like above I saw different formattings at different places.
Can Any one please kindly let me know what are those formats represents for.
Means which is represents sec and which is represents for min and etc like that.
And I need to know what are different formats available to use this.
This is urgent for me. Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi Fellows

I've created an app that reads mp3 sounds. It works fine. I have a idea: I would like to set the volume of the music that is played. I don't have any idea about what interface I must to use or property or anything else.
To play my mp3 sounds I have these interfaces:
IGraphBuilder, IMediaControl, IMediaEvent, IMediaPosition.
I create the IGraphBuilder like this:

Hi all. i am using this code to change color of listview item.
But unfortunetly it goes and changes color of all item instead
of only changing the color selected listview item. Could an expert

That code looks like an absolute nightmare...

I think that in order to do what you want you would need to have to do custom draw for your list view.

I am not very expert in visual c++ so i be happy if u show how this can be done. Furthermore, why u say the code i a nightmare!! it does not crash any thing!!! it just does more then what i wanted it to do!

If not crashing is your metric by which you judge a piece of code... then there's nothing much I can say. Why do you have such a long chain of FindWindow() functions? And why aren't you using the RGB macro for generating the COLORREF. I'm sure not many people would know what RGB values make up 33023 offhand.

For a limited user on Windows XP, will regsvr32.exe be able to register a namespace extension? I tried and got error 0x80040201, but I'm not sure if this is an issue to do with the account being a limited user or not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
I have some problems with the PlotXY functions in the NTGraph activeX, Here is the article about this ActiveX:

the function I wrote there the code is: BOOL CGraphsXYAxisDlg::OnInitDialog()(This is the function in the general Dialog)
I sure the problem is there because when I earase the line it works fine.
I tried a few combinations of the point(x,y) but it doesn't work and the errer occurs.
Do you know how can I fix it?

Incidentally the correct place to post these questions would actually be at the relevant article[^] itself.

The error message says Element not found. Do you actually have 3 elements for your graph? (ie. did you add 2 extra elements as the 1st was created automatically)
