It seems a lot different from a Doc/View architecture. Can anyone give advice on how MS Money 2001's gui was designed? The only thing that looks "Visual C++ wizard" generated is the menu at the top. I have only used the Visual C++ MFC.exe wizards and modified things from there as necessary, but very limited. I opened the database and the CRecordset derived object with settings so the database could be updated. CanUpdate() returns true. Yet when I try to call Update(), I get a message that says the database is read only! How can this happen, and how do I fix it? Robert
