Hello
The idea of dlls is to extract some code out of the exe file and put it into another file so that it could be shared among different applications- among other uses of dlls of course-
I assume that you don't have the source of the dlls, otherwise you would have incorporated them directly into your code.
Two options
1- Hide them somewhere where the user can't access them -like Windows\system32 folder-
2- Second option is a very stupid one -but will do exactly what you want-, is to put them in the resource file -this way they will be compiled as resources in your exe file. when you want to call a method or declare a class:
a- read the from the resource file
b- write the ina temp.dll with FileShare.None attribute
c- use reflection to declare types and call methods
d- Delete the temp.dll
Yet again the last option is a VERY stupid one -my opinion- and will take a lot of effort, besides the user will be able to see your temp.dll anyway

i am going to implement distributed compilation of csharp project and i cant manage to divide huge project into smaller compileable parts..........i need some help on it...........i have posted it again in detail which is
i have made a program that works as follows
1->i browse some csharp project and open the main .cs file
2->the program compiles that project and reports errors as we compile in .net compiler
i want to make my program work in this order
1)select a project of csharp
2)the program should divide the project into independently compileable parts
3)then it should display a list of those parts
4)on selecting one part it should compile that part
5)then after compiling all parts on selecting one by one it should link all the seperately compiled parts to generate exe and show the output

Its a difficult problem thats for sure.
VS2005 currently is able to compile several projects in parallel, but this only works for projects in the solution that don't depend on eachother.
If you can at least get that scenario to work, you're well on your way in building a distributed compiler for different compile units.
In the meanwhile, checkout the CodeDom compiler and check MSDN for more info on how to use it. It should be able to make several parts of the assembly using parallel compile processes and link them together afterwards. I'm pretty sure you can even link external libraries with it.
I think a solution that does the following should be possible:
1. Master compilter pre-processes code units to discover internal dependencies between files
2. Master compiler sends out code units to be compiled by the slaves
3. Slaves compile non-dependend code units parallel and dependend units sequential (this part is hard).
3. Slaves send results over to the master compiler
4. Master compiler links the units together and links in external libraries
5. Output is send back to the user including both the compiled assembly and a report.
While this looks simple, this is really not an easy job. I would build several prototypes to research every step of the building process and start building the solution after that.

Hello,
I have 2 MS Access databases, In each database I have a table called catlog. What I want to do is to check the catlog table in database (B) and pass over each row to see if it (the row) exists on table (A). If the row doesn't exist, I insert it as a new row, if it does exist I update the existing row.
I want to do that at the runtime of a C# program.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe try to search for "database replication" in google.
One way you could trigger the changes and then do replication on another db. Or you can try to use one of replication tools.

How do you XML document namespace?
I'm testing my project documentation with NDoc.
And I could see I have no namespace documentation (at last there is a red warning no <summary> for namespace).
How do I fix that?

When I've worked with XML Documentation, I do not remember ever having to define a summary statement for a namespace. However, I do have to create summary statements for every class and every public method within my class.
To create your summary statements, position the cursor at the line above the class definition. Then just hit '/' three times. It should autopopulate your class definition with all of the expected xml comment tags appropriate for that class. Then all you have to do is fill in the text between the summary /summary tags.
Do the same for every public method and make certain you populate info about the parameters. When you publish your dll, anyone that references that dll will get your doc file and get intellisense for your class and method definitions and usage. Voila, self-documenting code.

I'm trying to learn C# and am making a little program that retreives product groups from a database.
The productgroups are linked with eachother and can have a unlimited amount of levels.
To give you a id, this is basicly the structure of the table with groups:

Wat I want to make is a treeview with the nodes arranged this way:

The code i'm having now is this:

In the last function i've commented-out a line that calls the same function again.
But that's not working the way I want it and i don't know what i should do to get it working right.
Right now it's making the parent nodes and placing all the other nodes inside the parent nodes instead of making parent nodes within the parent nodes and so on.
So, does someone know how to get this wotking?
I probably have to make some changes to the PopulateChilds() function but i've no clue what to do.
I've tried several pieces of code found on this website but i just couldn't get it working the right way.

Thanks for the code.
Though on compiling i'm getting this error:
'System.Windows.Forms.TreeNode' does not contain a definition for 'ChildNodes'
And I think I forgot to mention, but I'm using 2 querys at this moment, one to get the parent groups, and one to get the child groups from one parant.
That should become one query that just retreives the full content of the table with groups?

I know c++ and c# well.But never develop a big project that have so many components and will be extended for long time.
I want to make a program that can be develop by different users.Some of them prefare native app(com dlls, c++ dlls , etc) for components, some of them prefare managed components(.NET base components).
1-)Especially i think that i want to design my UI in c# and then other parts that my algorithms are working with c++ or c# codes.My UI or my application will able to interact between both .net dll or com dlls( i mean native).Is this right way?
I want to learn all your opinions and advices about such a program.I don't want to make mistake.
2-)I mean is this possible?C# host and native dlls.How can i do this?I mean i want to see my roadmap.In which points must i be careful?
3-)Also if i design my programs UI or shell with .net code(like c#) , in future i can utilize .net plugins but if my shell code or UI in c++ i can not write any plugin with managed code.Is this right?
Also if there are any sample applications like that can you send me their links.I really see how must i design my c# exe so it can be interact with both .net and com plugins that develop by differnet users.

I am reading it now.But it seems exe written in C# also plugins written in C#.But my question is especially for C# exe and native plugins (like COM or something else).I want to learn about how i can interact with native components(plugins) from C# exe(UI).
