DevEnv is the Visual Studio Integrated Developement Environment. Apparently, it's a little busy doing something at times. This can be caused by a half-million different things. The most common of which is an under-powered machine, lacking in either processor speed and/or RAM.
There can also be outside causes, like trying to run SQL Server on the same machine when it only has 512MB of RAM.
Project size also matters. Did you know that Intellisense uses the compiler to partially recompile your application every time you make a change to the code to keep itself updated?
You've got a bunch of trouble shooting to do. There is no one cause for this and no one solution. Start with the basics. Does your machine have the RAM and processor to run a heavy weight IDE and everything on the machine?

Hello
I would need a TreeView with an Transparent Background. So the TreeView is in the front of a PictureBox an i would need to display only the text from the tree an the background sould be alive from the picture box.
I have a screen shoot from the standard treeview without the transparent backcolor at http://www.coyote.at/tree.jpg[^]
Has anybody a idee how i can get the transparent background??
Thanks and greetings from austria

I that case you will have to write your own implementation of the treeview. Create a new customcontrol and inherit from treeview. override the OnPaintBackground
Now in windows forms there is actually nothing like transparent background color. The framework does a little trick here. If you set the background of a control to transparent it will inherit the OnPaintBackground implementation (am not really sure how this is done codewise) of its parent to simulate a transparent look.
Hope that I could give you an idea how to solve your problem. I think you will have to read first some here and there on how to handle the OnPaintBackground (if it actually exists for a treeview; otherwise the OnPaint)
Maybe this link can help you out

That mean converting code from C# to vb.net Mr.'MVP';P

Sorry smartass, but "implement" is not interchangable with "convert". Their meanings don't even come close to each other. In either case, the OP is talking about about VB6, not VB.NET. Those two, also, don't even come close to being interchangable.

Give the users the opportunity to apply formatting to the messages, and someone will always abuse it...
Are you sure that the messages are really sent? What mail server are you using? Can you successfully send mail to some other mail address?
Some ISPs block the port for mail so that you have to use their mail server to send mail, to prevent spamming.

Agreed... recently I had a problem with an application where I could send mail internally, but not externally.
The code worked in VB 6, but not VB.NET; ultimately, I had to change the SMTP server node in the VB.NET code to make it work.

Is there a way i can get the user name associated with the processes just like in task manager.
Do you mean get current username logged in PC?
If so :
using System.Security.Partial;<br />
.<br />
.<br />
.<br />
.
string username = System.WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent().Name.Tostring();
it gives DomainName\Username
I want the user name of the process and not the user who is logged in.
The code snippet that was posted will give you the name of the user running the process. It is usually but not always the person who is logged in.

Well, in VB 2005, this single line of code works :
My.User.Name
This returns the Name of the User under which the current process is running
