I found the solution. this might be helpful for someone in future.....
In WebUIValidation.js, just add this to ValidatorCommonOnSubmit.

If you want to go in session way, it's very simple. Store items collection in session object:
Session["MyKey"] = MyList.Items;
And on another page retrieve them from session:
ListItemCollection items = Session["MyKey"];
After that you can go thought collection of the items again and retrieve values...

Dear All,
My problem is that I've made an ActiveX component in C#. This component uses .NET Remoting to load an Excel File from the server. To view the excel file I've used AxSpreadSheet. Besides the AxSpreadSheet component the ActiveX control has two buttons as well.
When I try to load it on the webform it gets loaded successfully only if I remove the AxSpreadSheet from the ActiveX component. With it, the webform doesn't load it.
To load it on the WebForm I am using the following code in HTML

but it gives multiple values in listbox
i tried

Hi,
I am developing an application using ASP.Net 2.0; When I run the application from Visual Studio .Net, it works fine but when i run it through browser(IE) by writing "http://localhost/AB/Login.aspx".
Following Error occured:
Failed to access IIS metabase.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
Exception Details: System.Web.Hosting.HostingEnvironmentException: Failed to access IIS metabase.
The process account used to run ASP.NET must have read access to the IIS metabase (e.g. IIS://servername/W3SVC). For information on modifying metabase permissions, please see http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=267904.
I have also given the rights to the user by running aspnet_regiis –ga
but the problem still remains the same.
Could anyone guide me in resolving this issue.

Hi,
I want to transfer string value from C# to javascript in asp.net.
For that, I am trying in two ways one is hidden variable and other is label tag but both are getting an error message.
Here the code:
Using hidden:

Dear All,
Now I am providing a solution to a web based(asp.net) application. Almost all the work completed. But the thing is that web application is working fine in my local machine. If i put that application into client's Developement server, the buttons(like submit, update) are not working on that server. If i click any button in that applcation on Dev, no event is fired. Nothing happened.
What is the solution for this? what are the steps should I do to wake up that buttons?
I need this ASAP........

Hello,
I have an asp.net web application with an insertion form. I want to automatically fill in the rest of the textbox as an item in the dropdownlist is selected.
My problem is that, when I select an item on the list, it fill the rest of the textbox but when I change my list selection, it still maintains the same value for all the textboxes. I know the problem. The problem is that, I have 2 keys on that database table and the possibilities in asp.net allows only 1 value key for this selection. So can any one help me with how I can use both keys on the TextValue property of the dropdownlist?

Hi,
why when the log out link is clicked, the page does not get redirected to the login page and it remains on the page where it was before?
May be this is to do with the fact that when the logout is clicked, there is a postback to one of the pages.
This is what I have at present:

u re not using the properties properly,yu need to tell the control that which is your login page
u need to set logoutpageurl property to make it happen
