Hi Friends,
I am using 2003 server and my IIS is running on it.
When i define a website on IIS and try to browse it.
Message come
"No Valid XML found in the message"
Does any one know about this behaviour.

Hello,
I have a HTML select control.(i.e listbox).
Now I want to add values dynamically to this control.How can I do that.I don't want to maek it runat=server.I want it to be a html client control only.

According to any test books I have you can't do this. You must supply runat=server in order to access HTML controls (thus turning them into Html server controls) for with the code behind files.
You could pass parameters to JavaScript and let JavaScript use Document Object model to do this. But why bother wht you can simply use runat=server.
Look where you want to go not where you don't want to crash.

Then you only can use Javascript to add items to it.
Use doucment.createElement to create an option element, set it's properties and add it to the options collection of the select control.

I have a site which has a domain .eu. All the currency are showing like "230,00 Sk" Instead of "$27.00"
In my other hosting which is .com the site is working properly.
What do I have to do to show all the currency in dollar format instead of "sk"
I am in a hurry.

It has nothing to do with the domain name. You are relying on the default culture setting of the server, which you have noticed is not very good. Ideally you should specify a CultureInfo or NumberFormatInfo whenever you convert the values to strings.
A quick fix until you have had time to go over your code would be to set the CurrentCulture for each thread in global.asax.

What I did was change the uiCulture culture attribute in the globalization tag in web.config and things worked fine for me.
 But I would like to know how do i specify a CultureInfo or NumberFormatInfo whenever you convert the values to strings. Do I use a common function which would be doing the job and pass all the conversion through this function

You pass the CultureInfo or NumberFormatInfo to the ToString method.

Hello, as my title says, I'm trying to find a way of referencing an Iframe within a Multiview View.
Currently I have a map created in flash, the user clicks on a postcode say "LN1" and I want to pass the postcode as a variable into an Iframe to bring up a datagrid of results.
My old code in Flash was for use with ASP:
on (release) {
var pcode = "LN1"
get URL("map.asp?pcode="+pcode, "search_results");
}
That refernced the Iframe 'search_results' and brought up the page 'map.asp'.
With my new ASP.net page I have 1 page with a multiview, and the flash map. The Active Index is set to display Current News of the Day kind of thing, and then when the user searches the map for an area I want the news to dissappear and the results of the search to be displayed. It keeps it all nice and user friendly.
Maybe I'm going about this the wrong way, could there be a better solution than using Iframes?

I m using untyped dataset in asp.net using C#.
I want to update the record only in a dataset. The code is given below(this code is also given in MSDN).....
ds.Tables[0].Rows[0].ItemArray[1] = "New value";
Interestingly it doesnot throw exception and at the same time does not update the record....
what could be the reason...................

What steps do you take after this? In what way does it not update the record (to the DB, or to screen...?)

Things to check:
1. (apologies if this insults your intelligence) Are you rebinding the datagrid after setting the updated dataset as the source?
2. Have you got the current view of the dataset as unchanged rows?
